Summary
His phone starts buzzing from a discarded resting place on his nightstand. Someone was calling him at three in the morning.
Minho and Seungmin were soundly sleeping in their dorm. Chan and Changbin were pulling an all-nighter in their studio while Jisung slumbered on their studio couch.
So Jeongin was left all alone with the buzzing device.
After choking down another onset of bile, Jeongin manages to drag his quivering form to view the caller id.
There was no caller id.
It was an unknown number. And the phone wouldn't stop buzzing.
(Or Jeongin's past demons come back to haunt him and he will do anything to prevent his hyungs from hating him, even if it means shattering along the way.)

“Hyunjin is dead,” Jeongin breathed. He looked up to see the others stare back at him with wide eyes, Hyunjin towering over them at the back, the light from the window in the hallway lighting up his figure. “They told me he was dead.”
Hyunjin's dark eyes found Jeongin’s tearful ones.
“Not dead,” Hyunjin said with a poisonous smile. “Just gay.”
Or: Jeongin has spent years mourning the loss of his first love, a love he was told by his church was sinful and wrong, but one he just couldn't stop from blooming in his chest. Now, years later, Jeongin meets Hyunjin again, very alive and also very different from how he used to be back in their shared church.

Summary
