Summary
Westeros considers Agents Lannister and Tarth heroes, praised for their actions in the Riverlands during President Baratheon's re-election campaign one year ago. With the anniversary of that horrible week upon them, Jaime and Brienne are expected to be present for the televised remembrance ceremony. But the unspoken truth between them is that they don’t feel deserving of the title "hero." Heroes would have stopped the attack before it happened. Heroes would not have been captured, would have prevented the girls from being taken. So instead of plastering on smiles for the cameras, they skip the ceremony and end up on an impromptu roadtrip north, finally examining their complicated friendship and what other feelings might be lurking under the surface.
