Work Text:

Bob flinched hearing the slam of his husband's door reverberate With a loud and Shocking Bang . he could feel the tears in his eyes. Fall and fall like they were tiny r

raindrops down his face.

Shit

Bob had messed up big time. He knew it. He sighed wiping off some tears down his sweatshirt. Fuck he shouldn't have said anything about it knowing it would make him mad.

"shit shit shit of course you had to open your mouth Bob Of course". he said rummaging in the kitchen for their Alcohol. which was tucked neatly into the cabinet

the burn stung. Like really stung. it felt good though. almost eminently Bob felt the effects of the clouding burning sensation in his mind. now bob never drank, when he did though it was very very rarely. Bob downed four until he couldn't think.

So he giggled slapping his hands on the marble countertop like he had heard something funny. He scrambled for his phone laughing his words coming out loudly. \
He clicked on the first contact on his recent calls which happened to be Pheonix.

She answered the phone with a "Bob it's late".

"cheese: he giggled adjusting his phone on his ear. "Guezzzz what".

"Are you alright Bob". She said confused behind her was the loud yelling of Rooster.

"I said GUESS WHATTTT". She huffed.

: "What Bob?" bob giggled once more slapping the table.
"HANG DIVORCE MEEEEEE".

> > >

Now imagine if you were on Pheonix's side of the phone will you? hearing her best friend mutter the words of divorce. She stopped for a moment grabbing her keys.

"Bob stay there I'm coming over!"

Rooster looked up from his Laptop where he sat playing a game on their shared computer. (It was his Night Off)

"Shit". She hung up on Bob Quickly.
"what's wrong Nat?" Rooster asked

"It's Bob!" and with that our hero ran to the car.
A few minutes later she arrived at the Serisin-Floyd house. to find a passed-out bob on the floor holding a picture frame.

"Damn it Bob". she whispered propping Bob against the table she was angry. Seething even she might kill Hangman. "Sericin, get your ASS out here I know your here coward come on out you better have a damn explanation. She got no response just clicking on Bob and Hangman's bedroom. He didn't look much better, with tired eyes, still in his pajamas.

Bob his Bob

his eyes traveled over to Bob his eyes Widening.

"what happened". Phoenix shrugged her shoulders

"you tell me jake why is your husband Drunk on the floor!!"

"we argued". Jake's eyes softened bending down to pick up his husband into his arms. Bob almost eminently cuddled into jakes arms.

"And?" phoenix pressed. She had been flying with them for so long. She had built this relationship. if someone hurt bob... shed kill them. Jake sighed Cradling his Husband like a child. Softly wiping the tears off his face.

"He told me he wanted me to be more careful you know since we're planning a family". jake said

They had been looking at adopting but so far every time they tried they had been shot down. they were rejected and pushed aside for a better straighter couple.

"then why the Fuck did he say something about divorce". Phoenix screamed she reached her limit too. she watched jakes eyes widen.

"divorce wha-" It dawned on him like a bucket of water. He had said if we don't get a child and you want one. ill leave you. He hadn't meant for it to hurt Bob. But clearly, it had. I explained it to her.
"Well. . . shit".
"Shit right Serisin how are you going to make this better".

Bob grumbled something under his breath. his hangover was painful almost like tiny needles hit his head, he was tired too. But he was safe. he moved in jakes lap.

But the fight.

The door slammed.

he remembered it all so he wriggled moving off Jake's lap. Situating himself on the couch. drawing up his knee to his chin.

"Bob baby". Jake said taking in a breath. he reached out touching Bob's shoulder. Gently. oh so gently. almost as if Bob was glass. Fragile to the touch. But he wasn't and Jake knew that. He was a fearless maybe a little nervous WSO.

"last night... I was out of line and I'm sorry I know you might not forgive me. I would never leave you I just damn it". bob cut him off.

"I know.. I know jake it it's fine".

"no, I should have talked it out. Jake whispered. "I just shouldn't have slammed the door on your face". a teardrop passed through his cheeks falling onto his shorts.

"I'm sorry to jake". jake looked up taking Bob's face in between his hands. kissing his lips softly.

"why are you sorry?"

"I drank your favorite".
