It was no longer strange for anyone to see Kim Rok Soo taking care of little things around Cale Henituse, from simple acts like removing reddish hairs from his clothes to having any kind of conversation at lunch while exchanging the foods in their respective meals for the ones they liked about each other.
Sometimes they might meet in the middle of the hallway, with Cale being scolded by Rok Soo with an annoyed tone that was a far cry from the smoothness of their actions in arranging each other's clothes. Sometimes you would simply find them by chance in the back of the library, the Henituse sleeping on a table while the Korean read a book quietly and slowly patted him on the back, almost urging him to sleep on.
It was strange not to see them together but stranger to see them fighting, it was strange enough that everyone had already learned how to tell by their attitudes: Kim Rok Soo would be quieter than usual, disappearing between classes with an expression that made you keep your distance; Cale Henituse, on the other hand, would be a ticking time bomb, always on the verge of exploding at whoever stood in front of him but acting like a sad, lost duckling when he thought no one was looking.
Luckily for everyone that didn't last too long, it was usually only two or three days, a week the longest time recorded so far by their classmates.
Regarding that long fight, everyone secretly thanked the poor bastard who had bumped into Kim Rok Soo by accident, conveniently in full view of the Henituse and saved the student life of all in the process.
