Chapter Text
You're jet lagged as hell right now, You gently rest your head on the window of the taxi that would take you and your family to a whole new hell. You hated it. You try to be optimistic on the outside, despite your pessimistic view of the world but from everything you've heard about America, The thought of moving there rubbed you the wrong way. Sure, England is being run by a bunch of pretentious pricks but at least you were relatively happy.
"Ow, stop hurting me-!"
Your sisters' fighting snapped you out of your thoughts, putting you in an even worse mood. Those two couldn't breathe near each other without fighting, while this means they left you alone it's still irritating.
"You two better stop before you get no tea!" You huff and cover your ears as your Mother rips into the two, typical day... The taxi soon parks up outside your new home and you file out, one by one, your Father starts hauling all your bags whilst your mum paid the driver. They soon drive off and leave you on the pavement to your own devices. Your mum unlocks the door, slowly turning the key with an unsteady hand and throwing the door open. You all head inside and make yourselves comfortable on the living room floor. "How's about we put a film on, ey?" your dad suggests, "I'll order us some pizza and get the laptop out..." He grabs the phone and dials one of the numbers on the various pizza delivery flyers that had accumulated by the door. The rest of you wait in awkward silence, occasionally shifting in the bundle of blankets.
————Time skip————
Your sisters were barely awake when the food arrived, the bags under your mum's eyes more visible than usual. You felt bad for her, Dad's always at work which left her to deal with you three kids although you wouldn't really count yourself as a child as you'd recently turned 18.Your dad gently wakes up your sisters and sits down with the boxes. You soon demolish it and fall asleep, completely full. Takeaway pizza just hits different, ya know? Sixth form was great, you miss it.. You could only imagine what American high school is like. You struggle to settle down, rife with anticipation.
