Work Text:

Introduction card in warm colours saying: "Where the cliffs smile upon the green valley, our traveling stars make yet another heartful stop in their endless journey. In that of Amasya, where rock and wood and human toil stand between the river and the landscape around it, there they collide again, once more separated by the dictates of society. Ah, if only mere humans could fathom what their unjust rules forbid! What greed! What hubris! Thus, a modest man reinvents himself a modern Eracles, braving every challenge the King puts in his way just so that he can be with the one he loves and who loves him back. Task after task, he collects brilliant victories. Alas, only a heart of steel wouldn’t be torn asunder by the final test…"

Another dull day in the palace as Robin awoke and went about her daily duties as the king's sister.

The only difference was that maids had interrupted her reading time that day. They asserted that her brother had called up her for tea. This was quite unusual, she thought as she approached the room where he accepted his personal guests.

She had sat down on the comfy cushion as he was already sat in front of him to a higher one. They had a chess between them and as the white he had already done one move.

"You called me, your highness." As the maid poured their tea and exited the room, she began speaking.

"There's no need to be so formal now; go on play," He said. She did exactly what he said. "Normally, this hour must be your reading hour, right? I must have interrupted you," He said as he made his second move.

"No, not at all," She said as she performed another move. "Nothing is more important than you, brother," The last word had a strange feeling on her tongue.

"I had considered your 21st birthday present. I believe it is past time for you to have your own palace." He made another move as Robin raised his head to look at him. His brother, the King, was looking at the chessboard, but she knew him well enough to know that he had more on his mind. That was understandable given that he was the king.

"Brother, you… I express my gratitude for your generosity. I'll gladly accept that present." She returned her gaze to the chess board and made another move.

"Of course you will,  I've already begun hiring workers. I believe we can go see the groundwork later."

She raised her eyes to his. His razor-sharp chin and eyes that could see into the future. She only said, "Whenever you want, brother," and then went back to playing the game.

They'd been talking about their little country until King Lucci spoke up out of nowhere. "Do you realize that the only people who know how to play this game are the two of us?"

"How about the delegate who taught you this?  I never heard from him again."

"He learned far too much after I sent him to our adversaries in the west, to Ottoman and European countries. He'd not do much good after telling me everything he'd done and learned."

"I see, you're cautious as always, brother; someone who's been to those places wouldn't do well in the long run." This was not what she was thinking at the time. She had grown accustomed to praising everything his brother did. That's what they were all used to. It had only been him and his thoughts that had mattered.

Even in this case, the fact that he killed the delegate because he had seen more than him showed that he was a coward. Because of the mountains that surrounded them, few travelers or merchants had come to their country, and they were already cut off from the rest of the world.

Heck, they even couldn’t get fresh water from the spring just next to them because of the mountains.

Along with this, King Lucci was abusing his people's thoughts through religion. That was the thing she couldn't stand about him the most. She had read the sacred book twice and even if she hadn't, she had reason to believe that what Lucci had done and was doing didn't fit the rules of a true religious ruler, as he titled himself.

With the caller sound of the third prayer of the day, her train of thought and their eerie looking chess game came to a halt.

They had stopped to play as she excused herself. "May Allah acknowledge your prayer, Brother." She stood up and left the room as he prayed the same thing for her.

Months had passed, and now the fall had arrived in their small country. As Robin's birthday approached, her palace began to take shape.

Robin had decided to drop by to see how things were going. She had heard that her brother had hired a famous palace decorator. She had also heard that he had decorated the majority of the palaces in Anatolia, and she was eager to meet him.

"Your highness, I've heard the famous decorator is no longer alone.  He had been seen with a young man. They claim he was his son and trainee." One of her helpers had informed her.

Robin highly regarded people who did their jobs well and awesomely. That was her reason for stopping by the palace now and then. She enjoyed watching the workers do what they were good at.

Even though it was a cold day, there was sun when she came to visit. She greeted each employee and commented on their work, such as "This one has gotten more beautiful since the last time." or "I appreciate all of your efforts."

Then she heard some noises and went in that direction. She noticed a middle-aged man and a young man arguing there. They both came to a halt when the older one noticed her and bowed down to her.

"We sincerely apologize for the disruption. We must have disturbed you, Princess." The older gentleman apologized. Robin was watching what they were doing.

"You must be the famous decorator Mihawk," She said, requesting that the man introduce himself.

"I'm honored because you know who I am. I'm just a modest decorator who strives to spread beauty."

Robin laughed. “Humble? I'd heard you'd done work on Ottoman and Rumian palaces. I'm the one who has invited you to decorate my palace. Please continue with your work; I apologize for interrupting." She could feel the young decorator's sharp gazes on her as she spoke.

She returned his gaze. He had unusually colored hair. She'd never seen or heard of anyone with green hair before. This was the very first thing she noticed about him.

The second was that he was a very attractive man. Faces with hard facial structures and eyes as sharp as a blade and full of courage.

She had watched him as Mihawk forced him to do what he had told him. She stood there watching the young man work. She could say that his body was as attractive as his face. She guessed it was due to years of hard work. He was working quietly and intently.

When she and Mihawk were alone, she asked, "Is this your trainee I heard about?"

Mihawk responded without looking her in the eyes. “Zoro? Yes, I'm raising him and teaching him everything I know. We'd spent a lot of time together. To me, he's more like a son than a trainee."

Robin thought it was cute  but didn't say anything about it. "So much time?"

"Yes, I found him when he was almost nine years old, and he's been with me for twelve years," He said to Robin. So, he isn't his own son but he sees him as one , she thought.

Mihawk had wondered about the expression of the princess who had asked all these questions. Because none of the royalty he had ever worked for had previously expressed interest in him and Zoro.

Robin could feel Mihawk's golden gazes on her as she reflected on what she had learned about Zoro. He was two years her older and had been doing this profession for twelve years. She had concluded from her observations that he was good at it, but doing a job for twelve years... She could sense an inner curiosity about him.

"It's great to meet you, decorator, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final shape," She said as she noticed Zoro approaching them.

She had walked away, but she could feel eyes on her. This was the most natural thing for her. She was the king's sister and the princess.

But now, she was feeling an excitement from the feeling of Zoro’s eyes on her too.

Even as the weather grew colder, she made frequent visits. Robin had just observed Zoro during her visits, and despite hearing his voice, she was unable to communicate with him.

It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to her; she was the princess, and if she asked a question, he had to answer it. But she didn't want to use her royal authority to approach him.

She desired a genuine conversation with him.

Zoro had seen a lot of royalty women as a traveling decorator of most places. But he'd never felt anything like what he felt the first time he saw Robin. She radiated magnificence and elegance.

She was lovely and exuded a sense of calm. She was also extremely polite. Polite royalty women were in short supply. Especially for those her age.

He couldn't take his gaze away from her. He'd never felt anything like what he was feeling right now. He could also hear that the workers and common people adored her and regarded her as a true ruler.

He was overjoyed when she began paying them more visits. He didn't know why and couldn't care less; he was just glad she did. Because just seeing her made him feel better.

He was doing his best not to let this affect his work, and he was putting his work first, as Mihawk had taught him.

Zoro enjoyed his way of life because it allowed him to see many places and enjoy many beautiful views. And in this small country surrounded by mountains, he had discovered a secret location near the Princess's palace from which he could see the entire country. He ate his lunches mostly alone there.

Until one day he discovered another person occupying that space. And it was none other than the Princess herself. She was sitting on an uncomfortable rock, reading a book.

Zoro had spent far too much time with royalties to know that she couldn't be in this place, in these conditions, and on top of that, alone.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't realize you were here; please ignore me and forgive my limitlessness, your Highness," He said as he attempted to leave the area.

"Please no," He had come to a halt with her voice. She stood up and smiled at him. He had never seen another woman's smile so beautiful. A smile that had the power to paralyze him.

"You came here much more than I did; this is your place now, and if you don't mind, I'd like to accompany you as you spend your break time."

"I'm not sure what I did to be honored in this way, but it wouldn't be appropriate." He was staring at the ground the entire time he was speaking.

"And why are you thinking like this?" He had raised his head in surprise to look at her.

He had never expected to be asked a question like this. It was clear from the start that it wouldn't be appropriate because she was a princess and he was only a craftsman.

"There, I could make you look at me," She said, and he felt a flush on his cheeks because her smile was more beautiful up close.

He lowered his head again to avoid her gaze, but he was already aware that she had noticed his cheeks.

"I was alone here, no helper girls or guardians, so nobody would say anything. So I'd like you to stay."

He nodded and sat down on the ground in front of her, a little further away. Better safe than sorry, he thought.

"It had gotten really cold lately," Robin said as he focused on his meal, and he simply nodded to her. "I believe it will snow soon."

"It'll be difficult to get here when it snows." He felt like responding to her wouldn't be too difficult.

"Have you ever worked in a harsh climate like ours?"

"I have, indeed. But not in the last five years, so I may have forgotten the negative aspects of cold weather," He then looked at her  “and good sides.” added with the courage of the moment.

He was convinced he would be off with his head because of what he had said until he noticed the slight redness on her cheeks and the graceful movement of her head to avoid his gaze.

He also realized it was their first real conversation. Previously, she had only inquired about his job. And, if he was honest with himself, he was so happy that he couldn't believe it was real.

But it was genuine, and they had spoken more that day.

She was there the next day, and the day after that. They met after the noon prayer and talked and got to know each other better until his lunch break was over.

"Snow is late," Robin said out of nowhere as she gazed at the cloudy sky. "It must have fallen two weeks earlier than usual," She reasoned. "Perhaps Allah wants us to meet more," She reasoned.

The same day, in the evening, snow began to fall. She wished to curse on her own tongue. She felt like she was the one who ended their meeting by saying this and then immediately dismissed that thought.

"The snow had to fall today, and it did; I have no control over the weather," She relieved herself.

Everything had been put on hold as the snowfall became too heavy, and they wouldn't be able to see each other until Robin's 20th birthday. The palace is far from finished because it was her birthday present for the following year, but his brother had thrown a party for her.

Robin was staring at Lucci as he spoke to all of the guests, acting like a good brother to her and a great king to the foreigners.

But she was the only one who knew what kind of person he was deep down. He was a selfish, liar, coward and manipulative man. He was still acting like a child, not caring about the opinions and preferences of others and becoming enraged when someone disagreed with him.

She saw her teacher that had taught everything she knew. He had offered her his arm and she had accepted it smiling.

“I think you need to be away from your brother for a bit.” and her teacher, Brook was the other person who knew what kind of person his brother was inside. And also the only person Lucci was hesitant to oppose.

They had walked outside, to the rose garden. One of the places Robin had loved in the main palace. “I had talked with the gardener, they were going to make a rose garden more beautiful than this to my palace.” She had spoken while they had sat down on a bench.

“Can we do little walks like this there too?” He asked as she laughed.

“Of course!”

“Robin, I haven’t given you your present yet,” Brook had started.

“Mr. Brook, your presence here is a gift to me.” Robin had interrupted him.

“You’re a kind soul, just like your mother.'' She had a sad smile on her face after hearing her mother.

She had lost her mother when she was 4 and she now couldn’t even remember her, all of her knowledge about her had passed down from her father and elderly like Brook.

“She’d be proud if she’d see you like this. I know you’re giving her goodness by being a delicate and nice soul like you are.” They hugged each other.

Not knowing her mother and her father being a busy king, Robin had always seen Brook as a parental figure.

“And I’m giving you my present here, look behind you.” With his word she had looked behind her and saw a figure she never had guessed to see there.

“Zoro?” Zoro came forward and bowed on one knee.

“Happy birthday your Highness.” She looked back at Brook and hugged him, thanking him.

“I should get back inside and make up your absence, yohohoho, have fun with your gift.” Then he had left them alone. Robin had turned to him and said that he could come sit down next to her.

He did as she told and she had asked how. “I’m not believing that I’m right here still but I can say that when Mr. Brook had sent a guardian to take me to him. I knew I was f-screwed because of the times we spent together. But he just gave me this clothing and wanted me to attend your birthday as your present.”

She had chuckled and “That’s so like him.'' He laughed too. “It’s a cold night even though some of the snow has melted. Shall we go for a walk to warm up?” She had requested when their laughter had died.

She was so occupied with their conversation that she hadn't noticed the small bump in the road and was about to fall when Zoro caught her by the hand and arm and saved her from falling.

They had been dating for months, but this was the first time he had ever touched her. Her skin was too soft like silk, and his calloused wounded hands felt too dirty and unworthy of touching her. As she thanked him, he started walking further from her.

But Zoro couldn’t help but admire her. She was glowing under the moonlight. Her white skin, blue eyes with her dark hair that was hiding behind a shawl and a modest tiara on top of her head to remind everyone she was the princess. Like there was a way to forget who she was.

He had always seen her in ornate dresses but this one, the purple elegant dress that was fancy enough for Ottoman princesses but she was far more beautiful than them. The dress didn’t do anything to hide her little waist that he wanted to wrap his arms around.

But he couldn’t do it. He was just a craftsman, while she was a royal.

"Thank you for coming tonight, Zoro. On my birthday, you made me the happiest. I really like your companion," She had told him as it was getting late and they needed to leave.

He knew there was no other time in his life when he felt as happy as when he heard these words from her. He wanted to thank her, to tell her that she was the one who made him the happiest man on the planet simply by being near him.

He wanted to tell her that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her as his companion. He wished to inform her that he...

Oh.

He wanted to tell her that he loved her.

Oh.

But he only thanked her and wished her the best of ages before leaving her on the same bench where they had met.

On his way to the small hut where he was staying with Mihawk, he cursed himself. How could he have allowed this to happen? He intended to decorate and depart from this location in the same manner as others. It couldn't have been real.

He was merely a decorator, while she was a Princess. How in the world did he allow this to happen?

He was so preoccupied with his own thoughts that he didn't notice Mihawk's worried expression when he arrived and fell asleep after praying.

Nature had reborn after the year's last heavy snowfall had melted and the weather had grown hotter by the day. The workers had returned to the palace, and she had returned to her visitations, completely unaware of Zoro's dilemma and harsh emotions.

He stopped coming to their lunch spot and tried to flee from her, but she was too good at finding him.

"They had found us there, so I thought it would be inappropriate to go there any longer," He explained when she asked why he had stopped coming to their meeting place.

"Then let's find another! Despite living here for 19 years, there are many places I have yet to visit. I'm excited to discover them all with you."

He begged Allah to forgive him for the words he was about to say and kill the joy she was feeling because she had smiled so kindly and full of life.

"Maybe it's best if we don't. I need to concentrate on why I'm here." He was a murderer, the murderer of her joy. He wasn't sure if this was a sin, but he had his reasons.

One, he didn’t know her intentions. He'd seen a lot of princesses who were just trying to kill their boredom with him, and he'd had to avoid them all because he was wary. But there was another issue with her now: his feelings.

Her disappointed expression lasted only a moment because she had trained to look calm and elegant in every situation. Nobody ever noticed the change of her expression because of this training. Zoro didn't either.

"I see, good days to you, decorator Zoro," She smiled kindly, nobody could say that this was fake.

She then called it quits for the day. Her visits became less frequent as time passed. She also avoided getting in Zoro's way.

But Zoro had seen her on occasions, was watching her. She was still polite and cheerful to everyone, but he could see that she was getting thinner and sadder with each passing visit.

Then, all of her visits suddenly came to an end.

People who knew her began to be concerned before speaking negatively about her. But people were still people and they started doing the latter.

"You're speaking behind someone who has only been kind to you. This is wrong. You're bringing haram to our place, and that's something I cannot let you do!" Mihawk had yelled one day at every worker as they stopped working but talking behind Robin.

He also called Zoro stupid one evening after getting out of the mosque after the evening salat.

“What did I do?”

“Don’t act like I don’t know what you have done and your feelings. I raised you Zoro.”

Zoro knew what he was getting to. “So what? If you know all of this, tell me what else I should’ve done.”

It was a cool night at the start of summer. It was hotter than the rest of their days in this country, but it was still a pleasant one. Mihawk sighed, looking up at the sky.

"You'd forgotten one of the most important lessons I'd ever taught you" That you are both only humans. That both of you were created by Allah and come out from the stomach of a woman."

This simple explanation had caused Zoro to pause and reflect. He had kept thinking about it as the minutes passed. While he was thinking, he became aware of the cursed and sneaky pain he was attempting to push down.

He hadn't seen her in two months, and he wanted to see her more than anything else. He was doing everything he could to hide it and not even admit it to himself until Mihwak lectured him that evening.

His longing had felt like a fire inside him, burning everything.

As something inside him began to accept the fact that his love for her wasn't wrong because they were both humans, and the heart never listened to temporary things like their social status in this world.

He also realized that the fact that she became ill as a result of what he had said to her meant that she was experiencing the same emotions as him.

They were both sick, she was just on the bed and he was burning inside out from it.

A sickness called love.

Now he wanted to see her, apologize to her, and tell her he was too stupid and was willing to accept any punishment she could scoop out. But he couldn't go to the palace just like. Her old teacher helped Zoro the last time. But little did he know that this time would also be thanks to him.

The person in front of their little hut surprised both him and his adept. "Mr. Zoro, if you don't mind, I need to speak with you."

"What do we owe you for your presence here, Mr. Brook?" As they all entered inside, Mihawk said to him.

"I'm afraid it's not going to be a pleasure. Mr. Zoro, I urgently require your presence at the palace. Robin is too sick for a doctor to figure out what's wrong with her. You're the only person who came to mind. That's why I came instead of sending a soldier."

He took a deep breath and looked deep inside Zoro's gray eyes before saying, "I believe Robin had fallen in love with you, and not being able to see you made her this sick."

If he said anything else, Zoro couldn't hear it. He felt as if his entire world had crumbled. "Let's go," was all he could say.

The only woman he had ever loved was too sick, even dying because of him, because of his stupidity, and he didn't even know if he was late or not. He could only hope he wasn't late and that she would forgive him.

The scene in front of him broke his heart in ways he never imagined. Robin, the woman who shone with all her beauty and elegance, was lying sick on a bed; she had become too thin and appeared tired.

But she was still the most beautiful woman Zoro had ever seen.

He approached her slowly. He had extended his hand but was afraid to touch her. He remembered the last time he did it. His body yearned to touch her for once.

"Your highness, no- Robin, it's me, Zoro," He said slowly, touching her hand. "I'm here," She simply groaned.

“I’m so sorry, I was stupid, I never thought how would you feel I just thought about myself. I was so stupid not to realize your feelings. I don’t know if you could ever forgive me but I need to say, I love you.”

He then heard someone’s gasp and felt a slight and weak tightening on his hand. He looked to see Robin had opened her eyes and was smiling at him.

He felt his tears drop as Robin tried to speak. He shushed her and the doctor got the rest. Robin started to get better in a short amount of time. He had stayed with her all the time.

Until one day while they were having some time alone King Lucci had come to Robin’s room with all of his soldiers and maids behind him. Brook was there too. The King had started talking with an almighty voice.

“I wouldn’t let this circus go anymore.” Zoro had bowed down to the king in one second as Robin tried to look as decent as possible. “My sister, I let you do whatever pleases you all the time but this, this is against the rules of Islam. Everyone is talking about you two and ruining the reputation of our country, of me.”

You hadn’t even dropped to ask me how I am, what reputation are you talking about? She had thought.

“If that man really wants to marry you, he needs to show everyone that he deserves to marry you.”

Deserves?! she had screamed inside her head and would do the same out loud if Zoro had not got in the conversation.

“I’m ready to do everything you ask me to if I’m going to marry Princess Robin.” His voice was determined but he wasn’t looking at the King.

“Zoro, no-” She started but Lucci interrupted her.

“Tomorrow after morning salat your trial starts. Show me that you’re more than just having fun with a princess piece of craftsman.” He then left with all of his empty almightiness and show-off.

Robin looked at Zoro as he was focused on the pale her brother was a few moments ago.

“Zoro, please listen to me. I can guess things he would ask you to do. They would be illogical things and you don’t have to do them.”

“I know this,” His expression was soft when he looked at her. “But as your brother had reminded me, you’re a princess and I’m just a traveling craftsman. So-”

“I’m not a prize for you to earn!” She had screamed at him, hurting her own throat.

Zoro looked at her and was about to say something when she coughed and he didn’t. Instead he got up and left the room to call for the doctor.

As Robin had guessed, her brother’s “trials” weren't the most sensible things. At first he tested his physical strength. He passed easily.

Then he tested out if he got diplomacy knowledge, from working and spending time with royalties all of his life, Zoro had passed this test too.

Then he challenged him to a chess match. Before it, Robin had sent a secret letter to him, telling the weak points of his appointment. Robin had the knowledge to beat her brother in a chess match but she never did. She was scared of him being in a bad mood. She would never have guessed that her fear could be useful now.

Zoro had beaten him after a fiery match. But Lucci accused him of cheating, Robin must have told him his weak points.

"But, brother, I'd never beaten you in a match before; how could I ever know your "weak points," if they existed at all?" Her only defense had been successful.

After the chess match, there were no trials for two days, and they all assumed King was satisfied. Zoro and Robin were so excited to see each other again, as they weren't allowed to see each other when the trials were taking place.

But after two days, King summoned everyone to announce Zoro's final test. When the words spilled from his mouth, he was smiling evilly.

“You know that we’re surrounded by mountains and we are having a hard time getting fresh water from the river just next to us because of them.

I’m giving you forty days. Pierce through those mountains and bring that river water to the country and Robin is yours.”

Robin felt like someone slipped all the world under her feet. Everyone inside that room knew what that test meant.

Piercing through those mountains in forty days? I hate you brother I hate you so much! I know it’s not good for me to say this but I hate you. Why are you doing this to me, to us? She was thinking as she tried to hold her tears.

“When shall I start?” Zoro’s determined voice could be heard and Robin couldn’t hold her tears anymore.

Lucci’s smirk got bigger. “Whenever you want,” Zoro nodded.

“I’ll start tomorrow but can I get just five minutes alone with Robin?”

“I feel generous today, talk to her in that room.” He then addressed Robin,  “Robin! Go before I change my mind!”

When they were alone, Robin started screaming at him “What do you think you’re doing?! This is suicide! Say you have changed your mind and leave this lands, stay alive be well but don’t do this I beg-”

She couldn’t finish her words as Zoro hugged her. He had inhaled her scent deeply as Robin kept on crying.

“My body hasn’t felt whole again ever since I held your hand for the first time. I can only feel whole when I touch you again. And I would do everything to feel like this even for one more time. See you in forty days.” and then he left her there.

Zoro had started his last and the hardest test of his life. Just one pickaxe and he started digging a hole through the mountains for the river to follow until the inside of the country.

It was a test for Robin too. She had stopped all her relations with the outside world, just in her own room, praying, reading the Quran, fasting and praying he would live, he would succeed at the test.

Robin was getting slimmer and getting sick day by day as Zoro got more and more power and did the digging faster than five hundred human power.

When the twenty days had passed Brook had asked Robin. “I don’t want to see you like this. You’re getting worse everyday and I don’t know if you could last the last twenty days too. Tell me now, is his love really worth your own life?”

She had stopped her prayer to look at him. As someone as old as Brook, he would never have seen a face with this expression. It was like she had found the meaning and the purpose all of her life.

“You’re asking if he is worthy enough of my life. You’re meaning I’m hurting myself and committing a sin. But it’s not like how you are thinking Mr. Brook. I’m not loving a simple man.

His love is a little piece of the creator’s love. I can feel that we’re meant to be. We have a connection special to a few like us. Loving him like this isn’t a sin, it’s a merit. I don’t have a single regret in my life, the life that made me meet him and love him.”

Brook had smiled and held his tears until he was outside. I had never seen someone with these powerful feelings, he thought.

Days had passed as Robin got so sick that she couldn’t even do salat anymore. It was the thirty-ninth day and she was still praying and seeing the moment that he would come to her room the next day.

As the time had passed Zoro fulfilled his work. Everyone was talking about this. A simple man had pierced through the mountains and brought the river to them in just thirty nine days.

Even Lucci had understood that he was successful now. But he wasn’t a man to accept defeat like this. He had already found an old witch woman to go tell him the bad news that didn’t exist.

The old witch had found Zoro inside the mountains, nearing the last part that needed to be mined. She got closer to him and started doing her magic.

“You, the mighty and strong lover! Why are you still struggling?” She screamed at him. Zoro was scared, he hadn’t talked with anyone in thirty nine days.

“I haven’t finished it yet, of course I’ll keep doing it!” He gave her an answer.

“But the girl you’re trying so hard for couldn’t wait for you, she had died.” The witch cast a believing spell, he was going to believe everything she had ever said.

But still she needed to show some proof to make him more defeated. “Look I brought you her halvah so you can eat some too.”

There was nothing left for him in this world anymore. He couldn’t even see the dessert the woman had reached out to him.

The dark and small place had gotten darker and smaller. He was feeling all of the mountains he had dug pressing on him. He couldn’t breathe, and didn't want to breathe anymore.

There was only one thing he could see clearly that time, the pickaxe he was holding. It was his companion for the last days and he thought it would be his savior too.

“If there is no Robin, it is forbidden for me to live in this world anymore.” He had said as he threw the pickaxe towards his own head.

The last words of him could be heard in the mountains, it was Robin’s name on his mouth until the day he had died.

At the same time, King Lucci had visited his sister to give her the bad news.

“You’re responsible for this, aren’t you!?” The woman who was about to die had started screaming towards him, filled with extraordinary power.

“I know he was about to succeed, you did something!'' She got up and ran outside with just her bed dress. Lucci had given orders to capture her back. But none of the soldiers had moved even an inch.

“Nobody wants to be under your rules anymore Lucci. I’m so sorry that I couldn’t raise you well.” He heard Brook’s voice behind him.

Robin had run to near the mountain she knew he must have been at. Everyone was watching her but nobody was doing anything as they all understood the events.

She started climbing those mountains with the last power Allah gave her. As she got to top she saw Zoro’s bloody dead body lying on the ground.

She had screamed his name with the last amount of the unsensible power she had and passed away right there. Everyone had seen her falling down from the mountain as last.

She had fallen just right next to her lover.

All of the country started mourning for them and banished Lucci from the country as the Ottomans had conquered them and they just accepted it, thinking it was better than Lucci’s ruling.

Brook and Mihawk had buried Zoro and Robin’s bodies right next to each other where they had died.

“In the south I heard a utterance.” Mihawk spoke slowly.

"If they end up together, it's called love. But if they couldn't, that's what they call a legend." Brook agreed with him.
