Carlos lays in bed in his apartment in Maranello. He wishes Lando was here with him, but he can’t be with Lando during his rut. Lando won’t be able to control himself, and Carlos still isn’t ready to let him fuck him. So he needs to stay away from Carlos until his rut is over. He’s currently staying at Max and Daniel’s apartment in Monaco, probably fucking Max senseless.
At least Checo came to Maranello to stay with him and keep him company. The beta is no replacement for his alpha, but his presence is still comforting.
Checo opens the bedroom door.
“Still not getting up?” He asks.
Carlos shakes his head. Checo walks over to the bed and climbs in beside him. He takes Carlos in his arms and Carlos lays his head on his chest.
“I miss him.” Carlos says, on the verge of tears.
“I know.” Checo replies, running a hand through Carlos’ hair. “But it’s only for a few days and then he can come back to you.”
“I just wish I could give him… the thing he needs.” Carlos starts to cry. “I wish I could be enough for him.”
“You already are.” Checo tells him. “He understands that you’re not ready yet.”
“Sometimes I worry I’ll never be ready and he’ll leave me for somebody else.”
“He would never do that, cariño. He loves you.”
Carlos hopes he’s right.
