“I'm going to marry her one day," announces James. He's on another one of his rants about Lily Evans. This is the sixth one this week, Remus thinks. Maybe I should ask Madam Pomfrey if he needs help. "Even if I have to go to the moon and back first.”
“You’d need a rocketship first,” Remus comments mildly, flipping a page in the book he’s reading.
“So I'll buy a rocketship!”
“Hmm, Rocketship Potter,” Remus mutters, not truly paying attention. "Moon-shoes Potter."
"Stop teasing, Remus, I'm serious!"
Remus flips another page. "Sure you are, Starkid Potter."
Later that evening, Remus and James search through the library, looking for a spell to prank the Slytherins with. Sirius and Peter are in the girls bathroom now, charming the mirrors to sing.
They find a few good options and check the books out. On their way out of the library, James stops short.
“H-hi Lily. What are you dobing? I mean, doing! What are you doing?”
The redhead rolls her eyes. “Um, studying for our potion test tomorrow?”
“Oh cool. Wait, we have a test?”
Lily shakes her head. “Seriously Potter, do you ever pay attention?”
Remus laughs softly and grabs the back of James’s shirt. “Come on, Rocketship Potter. Sirius and Peter are waiting for us.”
