“If we take the sane way through the cloud, three days.” Phil was already flicking switches, sending the hardcoded alarm to warn everyone to buckle in, pulling up crew vitals to transfer to Techno’s console. “That’s assumin’ the armada doesn’t catch up to us first, of course.”
“And if we take the insane way?”
His oldest friend grinned, sharp and feral, the feathers on his wings mantling as his eyes went gleaming bright. “Two hours, assumin’ I don’t hit anything and kill us all.”
Techno stared at him, then grinned back. “No honor before glory. Punch it.”
