They looked at us and saw what they wanted to see. A rich boy. An aristocrat. A hanger-on. A boy with a dark secret. And a brain. More than that, we were Gryffindors. And we were Marauders.
In which Severus Snape begs the Sorting Hat to put him in Gryffindor, if only to get closer to Lily Evans. What follows is not at all what anyone expected. In which Severus Snape adapts surprisingly well to life as a Gryffindor, James Potter is able to show off his nobler side without an arch-rival, and a time-travelling whack-job shows up on Halloween out for Severus's blood.
Yes, this one departs drastically not only from canon but from any original concept I had for it. Expect time-travel shenanigans, cryptic visits from the future, and a lot of things getting made up as I go.
But at the end of the day, it's still a Marauders fic, and there are plenty of antics.
