"Your skin is soft," Mafuyu commented absentmindedly as she lathered a foam face wash onto Kanade's cheeks, "it's better than mine."
Kanade leaned into the touch slightly, her eyelids daring to droop as the warm rubbing on her face lulled her into a sleep state. "That 'sposed to be a compliment?" She asked, leaning against the bathroom's counter and propping her hands against it behind her. Mafuyu hummed, "My skin's baby soft," she said after a moment or two, "it's flawless. Like porcelain."
Kanade looked up and smiled a small smile at Mafuyu, who didn't make any effort to return it. Kanade saw the way Mafuyu's pupils dilated when she looked at her, anyway, so words weren't needed when the two were chemically a match.
"That isn't the only thing flawless about you…" Kanade started, sounding like she wanted to say something more. Mafuyu stopped the lathering and tilted her head in confusion, eyes darting between Kanade's, trying to read them.
When she saw the look in the other's eyes, the plea she could basically hear was written all over her, 'please don't stop' , and Mafuyu continued her lathering. Kanade choked on her words; "I," she swallowed, "I was talking about your music."
Mafuyu gave an expression of understanding, and hummed a soft low hum in response. She sure did hum a lot, Kanade thought, I think I may like it .
Once Mafuyu was done getting the foam into Kanade's skin, she washed her hands and looked back at her. "Are you tired, yet?" She asked, looking her in the eyes as always.
Kanade looked away, feeling shy. "Yeah," she breathed, "I am." Mafuyu nodded.
They washed away the foam face wash and dried Kanade's face, then walked together to her cluttered room. Kanade sat down on her desk chair as Mafuyu flopped onto her bed, rolling onto her side and looking at the other.
"You're in love with that chair" She says, not a hint of teasing or sarcasm in her voice, "Is it comfortable?"
Kanade bit her lip and shook her head. Mafuyu frowned.
"I wish we were together all of the time" Kanade softly said after a while of sitting in silence, though more to herself than the other person in her room. "It's hard for that wish to ever come true, though. You have school, you have a family that worries about you, and frankly… I don't think I'd be able to handle going back to school. I think I'll just have to live with being a highschool dropout" She rambled, putting a finger lightly to her lip in thought.
She heard Mafuyu sigh and get up from the bed. She walked over to Kanade and pulled her up by the arm and onto her as they both fell onto the bed, with Mafuyu lying down on her back, Kanade on top of her.
"If you want to be together all of the time," She tangled their legs together "then fall in love with me instead."
Kanade flushed rosy. She nodded slowly.
"Yeah," she breathed, "I'd like that"
