My Rich Man

Summary:

- no main ships -

Izuku gets a call from Nedzu. Quick question; have you ever thought you'd be teaching the next generation of pro heroes? Well, Izuku hasn't! Now grown up and over being "morally good", Izuku, formerly vigilante Echo, is an assassin... and it's not that Izuku wanted to become an assassin, sure deciding it was the best course of action was a part of the reason but--essentially he was run out of the country after running from everyone for 3 years with his best friend--but that's in his past. But now? UA's principal wants him back. To teach. Knowing exactly who he is! Haha. Ha ha.

... Izuku is contemplating if he can handle said action, only just now beginning to heal, but the rate is too high to ignore; so he goes.

Whether this decision will burn down modern day Japan or bring it to peace will be up to said capacity to heal.

Izuku's betting he burns alongside with it, but who knows!!

(Summary: Izuku= assassin-vigilante= becomes hero teacher/helper, out of retirement. Meets old buddies, faces more trauma, and has to make big decisions again a.k.a. the reasons why he left.)

...Besides my word vomit speech, enjoy this variety of vigilante Izuku-- assassin Izuku-- morally grey Izuku-- UA Teacher Izuku fic. I promise, I'm trying to make the story more original than other fics so you guys can have something to go to besides the normal 'I'm a vigilante, homeless, motherless, fatherless, child who needs parental figure (which is either the big ten; Aizawa, Yamada, Toshinori, Kayama, All For One, Detective Tsukauchi, Nedzu, Kurogiri, Hawks, or Mirko), UA student who is living under the radar.' Instead I've decided to give you something different with a splash of different scenarios and interesting plots besides the 'usual.'

Anyway, thank you guys for checking out this story if you've decided to read it. Comment your opinions, please.

Chapter 1: Money

Chapter Text

Off the coast of Japan, there was a man on a private jet landing from his trip from South America. He got out of the jet, with his servants handing him his things, having people take it back to his private mansion. Izuku Midoriya swore he would never come back to Japan, but he had a job to take care of. The money was worth it, but his calculations were depending…

Smiling as he headed down a secret hallway which was reserved for the rich and famous, he waved to his colleagues who helped him get back. It should’ve been unknown that he was landing back in Japan, the mission a secret, but as he saw a crowd of people waiting for him with their cameras out— he pulled his hood up and put his sunglasses on. Whoever knew of his presence would be dealt with later but he had more important businesses to deal with.

Izuku entered his private limousine with his private driver pulling away from the parking lot. Knowing that he would meet up with everyone he wanted to later, he needed to make sure he was concealed. After all, the whole mission would be a bust if the villains figured out he was in Japan.

The mystery assassin, Echo, infamous in the underground.

That wouldn’t look good on U.A’s record if the public ever got a hold of it, but he had to hold up his side of the deal. Especially since the world needed this to work. Normally, he wouldn’t ever accept deals from the principal, Nedzu— but it was something he was willing to do as it didn’t strain far from his own believes. Plus, the world was a mess and he can’t keep on doing this by himself so the deal was to make U.A’s upcoming pro heroes stronger and better.

Knowing he wasn’t terribly young himself, five years older than the students he would be working with, he hoped that he kept his youthful charm because then it would be easier to work with the children. Izuku knew he had adult’s charm, but teenage charm? Who knows.

Izuku opened the car’s door as his driver drove him to the front entrance of U.A.

Exiting and typing in the private code Nedzu gave him, he strutted towards the front door as the gate shut behind him. He had everything personal with him as he opened the door to the inside. Glancing around as any curious person would, he followed the directions towards his office. Going up to the door and before he could knock on it, Nedzu opened it, watching him.

“Echo, it’s lovely to meet you.” The principal started.

“It’s nice to meet you as well, Nedzu.”

“Take a seat. We need to get to talking as soon as possible.”

Pointing to the chair opposite to the principal, Izuku took his seat and crossed his legs. Nedzu asked whether or not he wanted tea and despite the aroma smelling refreshing, he declined. It would ruin his coffee later which he got from Oceania. Typing a website up on his computer, Nedzu glanced back at him as he watched. “As you know, the pro heroes of this generation are dying in strength, speed and most importantly, thoughtful motives. It’s your mission.”

“Continue, Nedzu. Don’t leave me hanging.”

“I want you to teach the Hero Course as their primary Pro Hero Training Teacher whilst helping them throughout class time. You would be a teacher and a helper in the classroom. I was hoping that the balance would give you freedom to do whatever you like as a helper can… possibly helping the other classes throughout this time as well,” Nedzu looked at him. “What do you say, possible?”

Izuku relaxed while smiling. “I’m assuming none of the teachers would be ordered to take me down. So… how long would I be teaching for?”

Tilting his head to think, Nedzu takes this time to calculate how long the minimum amount of time he would need to stay there for. He smiles with a knowing look. “One year max, but I would assume that three years would have the best affects as you would get to see how the new generations’ impact has.” The principal types something into his computer. “What else?”

“What’s my monthly pay going to include?”

“What about five million yen monthly?”

“Ten million yen.”

“What about we settle for seventy-five monthly?”

Izuku shakes his head. “Ten million yen because I have other business I want to do, which won’t interfere with my work and if I’m going to have to live here— I want it to be worth it. Ten million monthly or else we don’t have a deal.” Nedzu considers it. “I’m being serious because if someone wants to give me twenty-five million yen, up front, to kill all forty students in a year, it would take three months to get the money I want from you to protect them. It’s all about work as you know.”

Nedzu takes a full minute to think before coming with an agreement. “Alright, I’ll pay you ten million monthly, which should get you everything you want with a student protection plan. It won’t include anything major like having to die for a student, but it would mean doing nothing to harm a single student like taking a deal to kill them, or ruin their lives.”

“Sounds fair to me.”

“Do you have yourself a deal?”

“Before I accept, can you clarify some things for me?”

“Go on.”

“What are the students going to call me? Also, my protection.”

Watching him as Izuku says this, Nedzu raises his eyebrow. “Do you mean protection from the public?” Izuku nods his head. “I suppose we won’t include you in any media, you would have to look like a teacher… or a student, whatever one you choose to make you less known of, and we would do precautions to keep your name safe. The students can call you whatever you choose of.”

“That’s nice to know,” Izuku stands up. “Have a nice day, prince.”

“Call me Nedzu. I’ll send you everyone’s files.”

Nodding his head, Izuku declared. “Call me Echo… I’ll see you for the Entrance Exams next Monday. It’s good doing business with you, Nedzu.” Leaving the office and leaving down the stairs, he meets his driver back in the courtyard and leaves. They head back to his private mansion as he thinks the meeting over. What did he get himself into?

Izuku glances over his messages, only having five people on his phone. The last time he spoke to someone was back in July of last year, his parents’ friends saying happy birthday to him. It’s been a while since he last saw the Bakugou’s. Thinking about their kid, he concludes something.

It would be their kid’s first year at U.A if he takes the Entrance Exam…

He rolls his eyes, knowing the outcome of the Entrance Exam already. Katsuki Bakugou would win, be shocked to find out his babysitter of all people is going to be teaching him, get pissed and they would meet up somewhere to talk about where he’s been all these years. Izuku regrets not telling him what he was doing, but it was for his safety. He sighs as he gets out of the car.

“Mr Echo,” his worker declares.

“Kylie,” he starts. “Take a break, I’ll be okay from here.”

“Okay, Sir.”

Walking into the house with the door unlocked, he goes into the kitchen to fetch himself a snack. Grabbing an apple, placing his phone on charge and looking at the news, he sees the one person who he doesn’t like seeing anymore. All Might. He was saving the day again, but that big oaf was going to get caught up in something too big then himself and get himself killed. It was only time.

Nothing against All Might, since they’ve worked on causes before on the down low, but he knew about his time limit— along with the origins of his quirk which was ridiculous. Nevertheless, he believed him and figured out that All For One must be alive somewhere in Japan and it was only time before he resurfaced again as All Might found his successor. There was a time where All Might asked him to be his successor but he declined because it would ruin his business, but that was five years ago and it’s getting to a point where he needs to find a successor and retire. After all, he doesn’t want him to get killed because it would destroy the self esteems of so many kids.

Except, Izuku guesses that’s why Nedzu requested his help. To help him.

Preparing himself for the life he was going to have to face in a limited amount of days, All Might was going to become a teacher as well. That was something too, which was apart of the contract. Help All Might, save the next generation, along with heaps of other things. It’s why he requested such a high pay because it was going to change the world and he wasn’t willing to do that lightly.

The next generation needed to step up their game as All For One regrew his empire. Izuku knew that All Might fully believed that he killed the man, but he knew better. It’s no wonder he believed it though as he’s not an underground hero, but he’s been in his line of business since he was a kid so he knew so much better than anyone. His activity was rising again and he hated that.

He hated All For One all his life despite what he’s done for him. That damn bastard.

Rolling his eyes, he decided to jump into his spa as it got dark, the lights flickering as the bubbles arose. He couldn’t wait for this mission to be over so he would relax with his friends back in Africa. They have the best time together. Sighing, he knew it would be worth it.

Izuku drank alcohol. He’s been drinking alcohol ever since he was underage, but now that he’s twenty and with the laws, he doesn’t find it as fun anymore. Despite that, he drinks his cocktails that his bartenders bring to him and gets as drunk as he can. He doesn’t want to remember how much of a fool he’s made of himself, by doing something so stupid.

It’s be better for the future, his mother’s voice rings out in his head.

He knows that, but he doesn’t find it worth it without her around anymore.
