Chapter Text
Gwen and the sentinels finally defeated the wretched ruined king. Isolde left Gwen on her own, but she still has an influence on her. The sentinels disbanded choosing each others own paths. Gwen went to the blessed Isles wanting to clear the wraiths, freeing the land to its former glory.
But with all this free time she has, to free the Blessed Isles, to explore the whole world. She finds herself at camavor looking at viego— She thinks of a force pulling her towards him, maybe it was Isolde? It cant be.
When Gwen still had a part of Isolde, Gwen knew that Isolde trully loved him— but unto her own eyes Viego's love was to selfish.
Being puzzled she walks around the ruined castle to calm her.
"Am I being pushed by Isolde to come here? How strange, but I don't feel her anymore."
She always sees the flowers blooming out of the rubble it was— interesting, for a land ruled by a monster bloomed such beautiful flowers.
While she had the time she went back to where she was born, on Isolde's workshop where she knitted dresses and dolls. Her broken tools were scattered around the floor.
"Isolde are you there? Can you hear me?!" She cried.
She never got a response, nevertheless it still warmed her heart to see her origin.
After awhile she went back to the throne, where viego was sealed by Hallowed Mist. On his knees weeping, even the tears was put to a halt, She felt a bit remorseful. Viego took Isolde's soul from Gwen and Senna without hurting them, it was odd of him to let them live.
He stitched all of the pieces, but he couldn't trully bring her back. As she fades from his hands, tears began running down from his eyes and he tightened his grasp scared of losing her. While Isolde was slowly fading away she kissed Viego for the last time. The lovers were together again even for a moment.
The sentinels finally caught up to him, but all they could saw was the ruined king on his knees.
"She died because of me... all I wanted is to bring her back," He said while fixated at the broken music box he dropped. "Kill me if you must."
The sentinels was ready to kill him, but Gwen stepped in and sealed him in Hallowed Mist instead. They argued for awhile but ultimately they trusted Gwen's decision.
She always considered about second chances, but she's hesitant to give him one though, after all he killed a lot of people. Somewhere inside there is part of her that wants to save him, but is there even something in him to save.
She stood in front of him and shouted. "Viego! If you trully loved her! Why do all of this?"
But she realizes that he cant respond. Her anger pursued but she calmed herself.
"But if weren't for you... I wouldn't be alive." She places her hand on his face. "All of this just to see you like this, were you trully a monster or a just a tragic man."
She lighten herself. "Stop Gwen! Don't let him fool you, he's a monster! Let him be dammed." She insisted herself and left— She still looked back at him.
A few days later she arrived at the Blessed Isles riding her scissors.
"This place could use a make over," She hops down her scissors. "Then again this might take a long time."
She wondered off protected by the Hallowed Mist killing patches of wraiths— the harrowing was no match for her. She moves through the black mist like an unstoppable hurricane destroying everything on its path.
But despite her efforts it would only defers the expansion of the Black Mist it was never-ending. Every clearing Gwen makes the Black Mist quickly recovers, the Hallowed Mist could only slow it.
"The Black Mist seems to never end," She says while resting on the large pile of rubble. "I must find the source, It can't be Viego... who is it?"
Over the distance she sees a beam of light. Was it from the black mist? Or from a building?
"What was that?" She says. "It looks like it came from there." She looks further and again! Another beam of light flashing restlessly.
Gwen hurries with her Hallowed Mist. As closer she gets the thicker the Black Mist becomes. It was harder and harder to travel across to the point that the Hallowed Mist fully covered her. While she walks through the dense shroud, wraiths were scurrying around waiting for an opening. As she moves onward the black mist weakened and vanished leaving a large mansion in front of Gwen.
"What is this place, I never seen this before." She said.
Curious she slowly walked to the large door in front and knocked twice.
"Umm... I beg your pardon, but is anyone there?" She shouted. "Strange, this feels weird... and Interesting at the same time."
She knocked again.
"May I come in please."
After a while the large doors slowly opened. It was loud so she covered her ears.
"So loud!" She kept her ears covered until the door was fully open. "Finally."
She steps in the mansion looking for someone, but no one was there.
"Who opened the door?"
She continued to walk through the velvet carpets of the hall leading to a massive ballroom.
"What a fancy mansion," and in a heartbeat the Hallowed Mist quickly rushed and covered the whole room. "What's happening?"
The Hallowed Mist revealed spirits that were hiding. The spirits immediately ran scurrying for somewhere to hide.
"Hey! Hey!" she slowly walked down the stairs. "Theres no need to be afraid, I won't hurt you."
A small spirit holding flowers courageously appeared at her.
Gwen waves her hands and hid her scissors. "Hi! It's a pleasure to meet you."
The spirt tilts it's head in curiosity.
"I'm sorry for walking in voluntarily and without permission, but may I ask who runs this place and—"
Just before she could continue her sentence, all of the spirits appeared surrounding her.
"Ohh... Woah!" The spirits were closing up to her. "Excuse me, but what's happening?"
"It's her!!" A spirit screamed at the distance.
Gwen looked up and saw a man covered with Hallowed Mist, helping him descend down. He was fair and a decent man, with a mask covering his visage.
"You have Hallowed Mist too... who are you?" Gwen asked.
The man landed and kneeled at her, offering his hand. "My lady, as our guest of honor. May I have this dance." The masked man said.
Gwens eyes grew, as she fixates on his face. It has an oddly familiarity to her. She accepts his offer and took his hand. The man slowly rises and took her other hand and placed on his side. The spirits flushed away from the two, the band of spirits appeared and began playing music harmonizing with Gwen and this mysterious man's movements into a fine song.
Gwen was confused, it happened so fast. She can't discern her feelings towards him. Theres something about him that strikes her— is this love, she thought. She locks her eyes at him and continued dancing in harmony. A few spirits joined in the dancing with their wild contortions. His movements was graceful, his touch is gentle, and his smile was charming.
