Work Text:

“Dance with me,” Cait said one night, holding out her hand to Vi.

It had been a long day, filled with paperwork and brainstorming, and Caitlyn desperately needed to wind down with Vi.

Vi took it, letting her girlfriend pull her up off the couch, albeit hesitantly.

“Uhm, Cupcake, I’ve never danced before,” she said, looking down at the floor.

As much as she hated to admit it, she was a bit ashamed that she never learned. Zaun had such a unique style of dancing, nothing like Vi had seen at the fancy Piltie parties Cait dragged her to.

“It’s alright, I’ll show you,” she said, and when Vi looked up to see that gap-toothed grin she loved so much, there was no way she could refuse that offer.

Besides, it was an excuse to get closer to Caitlyn. (Not that she needed one, Cait was a deeply affectionate person and was always up for a cuddle.)

Cait had Vi step on her feet, and despite Vi’s protests that she would hurt the taller woman (she could never, she was much smaller, even with her bulkier muscle), Cait dragged her up anyways.

Vi was nestled into Cait’s neck as the two swayed to soft piano music that Caitlyn liked to work to. And although Vi was quite sure that this wasn’t how they were supposed to do it, she didn’t care one bit.

Not when she was so close to Caitlyn that she could hear the woman’s heartbeat. Not when Cait had her arms wrapped so tightly around the shorter girl.

“You’re so beautiful,” Cait murmured, and when Vi looked up, she saw a look of absolute adoration and love in Cait’s eyes, across her cheeks, written everywhere on her face.

Vi swore she would have melted if Cait wasn’t holding her up.

Instead, she blushed heavily and then buried herself as far as she could into Cait’s arms.

“I’m so lucky I met you,” she muttered, slightly muffled.

“I’m lucky I met you too,” Cait said, impossibly soft, and pulled her closer.

Notes:

I hope you enjoyed, I really loved writing this and I’ve written at least two other fics for them that I just haven’t published yet, so maybe if this one does well it’ll finally motivate me lol

This is just a short little thing to show my appreciation for them and at least have one fic of my favorite lesbians on my account

Anyways, thanks for reading ❤️
