A new kind of magic reaches out and brushes against his. It’s dark, but it doesn’t scare him. Or maybe just a little bit. It feels like something that can be dangerous but chooses not to, a deep lake in the middle of the woods at night, not to venture in but to admire from a distance. Will looks at the knives to resist the urge to gorge on it, drink it all in, drown in it.
But he reaches too because it’s too tempting. He pushes his magic in a tentative caress, slow and steady. The powers intertwine for an instant before Jack's voice brings Will back from the strange interaction.
