Charles was standing in front of the mirror, surveying Erik's damage to his shoulders and neck.
He should have known better, he should have stopped Erik yesterday, but he was, khm, otherwise occupied, and stopping Erik was the last thing on his mind.
And now he had to suffer the consequences, namely the several blue and red lovebites littering his pale skin.
Damn his English complexion making his skin bruise so quickly.
Erik of course was rather smug about the whole thing.
"You look hot, Schatz. You look claimed. I like seeing my marks all over you," he purred into Charles's ear when they woke up that morning.
"I can't say I don't find your possessiveness hot, but I have to go out in the public. And I look like I had a very kinky vampire in my bed last night."
"I didn't hear you complain last night," Erik winked at him which resulted in a very dark look coming from Charles. "Okay, okay, hold your horses. You can borrow one of my turtlenecks, okay? To preserve your virtue."
So that's how Charles ended up in front of his mirror, one of Erik's black turtlenecks lying on the bed beside him. He knew that if he turns up in a sweater that was evidently Erik's, tounges will still wag.
But he didn't see any other way out of this situation, so he reluctantly put the turtleneck on.
It did not fit him so well, Erik's body had different proportions than his, but it did the job, covering up the hickeys on his neck.
"Well, let's face the music," he mumbled to himself before leaving the bedroom with a final sigh.
