Katsuki had been working day and night to find his husband since Izuku had been taken from him.
He wouldn't let the league get away with this. He wouldn't, but he knew that he needed to be careful with how he approached this. Katsuki wasn't willing to risk Izuku’s life, not with the threat hanging over his head.
So when he was contacted by Todoroki that he had received a message from round cheeks he hadn't hesitated to high tail his way to the agency. Heart in his throat.
He didn’t know what he was to expect when he got there. He just had to hope for the best, that Izuku was safe and unharmed.
But he knew better than to get his hopes up like that. Izuku may be the number one hero but Katsuki knew what the league was capable of. All he really had the energy to hope for was that Izuku was alive at this point.
When he got to the agency, there was someone already waiting for him. One of the nameless interns he had hired to help with paperwork. And he was escorted to one of the many conference rooms and pushed in. The door closed behind him.
There weren't many people in the room. There was Aizawa-Sensei, Todoroki, along with a few of his other ex-classmates. Along with Jeanest, Endeavor, and Hawks.
And of course Katsuki in the room.
Looks like they were pulling out the big guns for this mission. For whatever was going on at least.
When Katsuki entered the room, no one said anything. Simply waited in silence for him to sit down before Aizawa made eye contact with him. “You may want to prepare yourself Dynamight What we’re about to watch isn't pretty.” And before Katsuki really got the chance to brace himself, Eraserhead clicked a button and a video was queued up.
The video was of Izuku, chained and unconscious in a chair. His hair looked like it had dried blood in it, blood that had dripped onto his face. Covering it.
Katsuki’s mind immediately went to the worst-case scenario. That Uravity had gone through with her threat and shot Izuku.
But then he noticed Izuku’s hand twitch ever so subtly. A sign that he wasn't dead. Not yet at least.
Before Katsuki really got the chance to process all of this, the perpetrator of all this walked on screen. Smirking like a cat that caught a canary.
“Hello, there loves,” She said, her voice sickenly sweet. “I have a proposition for all of you.” Uravity places a hand on her hip, smirking at the camera. Almost as if she was waiting for them to answer her recorded self.
No one said a word. The office fell into complete silence as they waited for the recording to continue.
After what felt like an eternity but what could've only been a few short moments, she continued on. But not before pulling out a button from somewhere offscreen.
“It seems to me that little Izuku here.” She said, gesturing to Izuku vaguely, who Katsuki is now noticing is shifting ever so slightly. “Hasn't been the best boy, and I think he’d enjoy being able to go home. We’ve gotten bored with him. But,”
Katsuki’s heart stutters at the mention of Izuku possibly being able to escape. To be able to see his husband and hold him for the first time in months.
But he knew that it sounded too good to be true. The league wouldn't let him go so easily, not without a catch at least.
“In exchange for letting our little bunny go,” she continued on, her sickly sweet tone and the disgusting nickname for Izuku making Katsuki’s stomach churn uncomfortably. “We’re going to need a trade.”
Yep. He knew it, it was too easy to think that they’d just give up the symbol of peace so easily. Not without a catch, Katsuki could only hope that it would be something easy.
“In exchange for your so-called ‘symbol of peace’ we’ll be needing 100 billion yen. We’ll send you the address to drop it off at in a few hours. After that, you have 24 hours until he’s dead..”
And with that, the video screen went black. Sending the room into complete and utter silence.
Looks like they needed to find a way to get 100 billion yen. Katsuki sure as hell wasn't about to let Izuku suffer any longer than he already had.
Maybe they could get Creati to make some fakes. Believable enough to trick the league. But Katsuki wasn't all that sure if he wanted to play with Izuku’s life like that.
He’d find a way through. Even if it meant he had to rob a bank. He was going to save Izuku, no matter the cost.
And when he looked around at the other heroes in the room, it seemed that they felt the same way.
They were all willing to do anything to get the sunshine of their class back. They may have graduated years ago, but they were still class 1A.
The class that would go to the end of the world to save each other. And now that they had proof that Izuku was alive, they would stop at nothing to get him back.
One of their kin was being threatened. And they would destroy anything and anyone that got in their way of reaching him.
