    Pixlriffs stood in awe of such a massive building, stood in awe of the lingering colors and the mosaics cracked across the surface front. The archeologist wasn't there for glory or fame or treasure. The god had given this place life, it had allowed the land to be fertile enough to allow people to live and grow and thrive here once. And in thanks, the people gave the god their bodies so it could continue to provide for them. It didn't matter if Pix wasn't a follower; he'd shown the temple proper respect, and he’d offered his thanks to it.

    It was only natural for the temple to take his thanks in the only way it knew how.
