As expected, Takina came right on time to meet Chisato at the mall center, ready to embark on their first official date as a couple.
What Chisato didn’t expect was seeing Takina in her winter outfit, the same one she wore when they parted ways, complete with what was once her pink scarf.
Chisato couldn’t help but look up and down at Takina’s outfit, clearly confused as to why she was out of season. “T-Takina… why are you wearing winter clothes in autumn?”
“You told me not to wear my Hawaii outfit, so I decided to wear what you picked out for me last time.” Takina replied truthfully.
“A-Ah… I- I know but…”
Takina looked at her puzzlingly, before reaching up to her neck and pulling off her scarf. “Would you like to have this back?”
“N-no!” Chisato instantly declined, putting her hands out in front of her. “It’s not that!”
“Then what’s wrong?” Takina questioned, tilting her head to the side a bit. “I don’t see a problem wearing an outfit you chose for me.”
“..Well then, there’s only one thing we can do!” Chisato happily replied, taking Takina’s hands in hers. “Can you guess what it is?!”
“Another shopping trip?” Takina guessed.
“Another shopping trip!” Chisato beamed.
Picking out clothes for her girlfriend was difficult sometimes, but only because they could only get one best outfit out of all the options they’ve encountered. However, desperate times called for desperate measures, and Takina clearly needed more outfits in her wardrobe.
“How about this one? Or this one? Ooh, maybe-!”
As usual, Takina tried on all the options presented to her by Chisato, both eventually settling on her wearing a blue sweater over a white dress for the rest of the day.
“You look so adorable!” Chisato squealed, hugging her tightly. “Now, let’s continue shopping for more autumn wear! I saw an off the shoulder top that would look amazing on you!”
“Alright.” Takina nodded with a small smile, allowing herself to be dragged off to another clothing rack.
“Well… we sure brought a lot of stuff, didn’t we?”
Takina sighed, trying to keep all the bags in her grasp from falling. “You went overboard again.”
“Okay, maybe I did a little bit!” Chisato partly agreed, equally holding the same amount of clothes in her arms.
“You definitely did, Chisato..” Takina argued, her lips slowly curling upwards into a small smile. “A whole lot.”
Chisato pouted at her girlfriend, continuing to walk a bit ahead of her. “You know, Takina, you can always just shop by yourself if you don’t want me assisting you…”
Takina stopped walking. “No, that won’t do at all.”
Chisato turned her head back to stare into Takina’s eyes. “Oh, why?”
Takina shifted her gaze towards the bags in her hands. “Shopping for seasonal clothes isn’t as enjoyable if you aren’t there with me… It’s better if we’re shopping for clothes together, and maybe next time… I could even…”
“You could even… pick out some clothes for me?”
“Yes, for you.”
“Autumn Version Takina, I think you’re my favorite of them all!”
“What about the other seasons?”
“Those too!”
“I see.”
Chisato simply grinned, resuming her walk away from the shopping district. “Now, come on, let’s get ice cream and sit at our favorite bench!”
“Lead the way then, Autumn Version Chisato.”
