They had only been driving for 30 minutes but Nigel really wanted the drive to be over yet. He was anxious and excited, and it seemed Isaac noticed. He chuckled and put his hand on Nigel’s hand.
“We’ll be there in 30 seconds love,” Isaac says as he pulls into a parking space. He kisses Nigel’s hand as they get out of the car. Isaac walked around to the other side of the car and gave Nigel a quick kiss as he grabbed his hand and walked with him to the Orchard entrance. They pay their fee and grab a basket. The second they start walking towards the trees Nigel’s eye light up brighter than the stars in the Milky Way.
“I’ve never seen anything like this. This is amazing!” Nigel was practically bouncing from excitement. Isaac smiled, happy to see Nigel this full of joy. He let the other man lead the way. The day was spent full of laughter and picking apples. Nigel wanted the best ones or his favorite ones when he saw one, and Isaac made sure he got them. As they walked through the rows of tree they kissed and held hands. He would occasionally trip while trying to pick the apples but he brushed it off. After a couple hours they were satisfied with the amount of apples they had picked and they went back to their car.
“Thank you for doing this with me. I had a lot of fun,” Nigel said, that same sparkle still in his eyes. Isaac smiled and leaned over to kiss him.
“Of course darling. I enjoyed the day too,” Isaac kisses his hand and turns on their music as he begins the drive back home.
