The Adventures Of Nococchio Lore
Short Summary
This story is based on the original novel of Pinocchio with a mix of the other versions of the report, including Buratino or The Golden Key, except for the Pauly Shore Pinocchio movie. The book in the Incomplete Au always ends with Nococchio getting hanged, and I should edit that chapter with the group talking about it in Joyful Burger along with the Pinocchio 1940 reference.
But this story does have some originality as Nococchio does a better job fighting the fox and cat. Though she still gets hanged, she does go down fighting. Also, there is a snake with a flaming tail, just like in the novel, greatly impacting the story. The Blue Fairy and the Coachman are fused into the Main Antagonists of this story.
The second half is about a plague turning humans into monsters after Nococchio kills the fox and cat by hanging. Along with a lot more characters dying. With some coming back as monstrous mutant zombies.
Nococchio- She is a smartass puppet made of hazelnut wood from a "magic tree." She starts the story as an obnoxious brat who hates humans and only cares about herself except for her kind, as in talking puppets and Magniafuco. Yes, she is based on Pinocchio. Unlike the Puppet, she a fig against the assassins the first time they hanged her, the second time she hanged them, and unlike her, they do not come back, kill the Gepetto Expy, punch the fairy in the face, steal golden arrows for salespeople, became a hunter(through training form a Purple horse). Her final moments were charging at the killer dogfish but being eaten by it, but that's when her story ends.
Fantoccio Ciliegia Fantasma- The carpenter/wood carver that chops down the curse Hazlenut tree and creates Nococchio, giving her some metal parts. He is the creator of Epimetheus and the father of Fiammifero; during the plague, he got turned into a mutant cherry. Fiammifero Fantasma-.The woodcarver's daughter helped make a puppet for the puppet theater coming to town. She severs as the Puppet's voice of reason. She has a fallout with Noco after the Pleasure Island events. The plague also hit her, but she slowly transforms the girl as her skin gets paler. It's told that the explosion in her father's lab killed her along with the remaining theater puppets. But in reality, she was transformed into a ghost with no memory of who she was. Then, a fisherman named Vladus Lokowichki finds her and is taken with him while renaming her Caroline.
Sebastiana The Albino Cricket- She yells at Noco for killing Fantoccio only to be killed with a hammer after insulting the Puppet too many times. She comes back multiple times in the story as a ghost who warns her about the assassins. The second is to warn her that the Turquoise Fairy should not be trusted. And third, before Noco leaves Italy, say to find the "Six Stars" that will help you; they are located in another country.
Stromboli Gaylord Mangiafuoco- The puppet theater director is known for his intimidating appearance and no tolerance for anyone ruining his show. He does have a heart as he spares Noco after she pleads for them not to burn Mirtillocchio after he talks Mangiafuco into letting her go, saying it was an accident that they were exposed as living puppets. Like the book, he gives Noco five coins. Later on, during the plague, he gets turned into a lifeless instrument with a big nose.
The Puppet Theater Troupe- They are part of puppet theater with their self-appointed leader, Mirtillocchio. He was the first creation despite his girlfriend Arachidiocchio doing a far better job leading them. His recklessness almost got him incinerated because he saw Nococchio in the audience, and she almost ruined the performance. Their theater was destroyed during a pandemic, and only eight puppets survived.
Mirtillocchio- (Blueberry Eye) He is the self-proclaimed leader of the puppet troupe. He encountered Noco during his performance and welcomed his sister. But this almost cost him his life until Noco pleads with Magnifico to spare him. He was one of the eight surviving puppets, however. However, Roupe has shallow options for him now after the theater burned. This led him to depression, but he still wanted to protect his reaming company, which cost his life. The flaming serpent's siblings came after them. His sacrifice damages the two badly, and the puppet troupe escapes capture. He was all alone when he died.
Gatta and Volpe- two con men, a male fox, and a female cat. They start as normal foxes and cats who can talk. They look more human as the story goes on. When Noco encounters them for the final time before she hangs them, they look like humans with animal ears and tails. They went after Nococchio after she killed Vipera, their sibling, only to die like they tried to do with Nococchio by hanging.
Bilancia and The Ape Judge- She is a pink scale who punishes the innocent and only frees the guilty who have committed a crime. Noco goes to her after the fox and cat stole her gold but is imprisoned until Noco says she murdered a man, which then she lets her go.
Vipera- The serpent with a flaming tail. (YES, THIS WAS IN THE ORIGINAL STORY OF PINOCCHIO) He has a symbol on his forehead that resembles a U with a noodle line through the middle. After Noco survived the fox and cat, he met them earlier and paid them more money to kill the Puppet. The creature was close to killing the Puppet, but her nose killed him instead through his skull.
Lucignolo Esplodere- A troublemaker and Noco's best friend. He and Noco went to the pleasure island, turning him into a Donkey while Noco was spared as she only got the ears and tail. He was later found on a farm but was dying due to overworking. He did recover but was later killed by the fox and cat. The plague resurrected him as a bomb was growing through the back of his head.
Sagittario The Hunter- A bipedal purple horse that encounters Nococchio a few days later after she kills the fox and cat. He trains her after seeing her potential, plus she kills his four rabbit merry men. Noco gets the hunter outfit she wears for the rest of the story.
Ariete The Maiden With Turquoise Hair- Her role is similar to the character at first, saving Noco to get her to bed to heal along with Fia, who asked to stay the night in her home. Later on, Ariete, wearing a coachman disguise, gets the three kids to go to the pleasure island. After finding Lucignolo dying, Noco pleads with her to bring him back to life, but the fairy turns Noco into a real girl after she proves herself brave, truthful, and unselfish. Noco punches her in the face after showing her true colors to the Puppet, after Noco rips her human skin off to reveal that she's still a puppet with donkey ears and a tail.
Falso Polpo/ Stains Of Time- He is the green fisherman and the terrible dogfish in the story. He first meets Noco, thinking she is a puppet fish, and plans to devour her, but Ariete arrives to tell him not to. She plans to make Noco her apprentice. He later shows up using his stand to fight the Puppet using her boat to escape Italy.
The Traveling Salesman/ Shadowman- He is first seen talking to someone who later is revealed to be Vladius about a book, and later shows up to Noco after she is mourning Lucignolo's death. He offers her some items, including a golden key.
Vladius Lokowitchki- A young fisherman man who falls in love with a beautiful ghost that he saw in a mirror; he goes to Italy to find a rare book that he was told about by the shadow man. He later finds an abandoned village and a ghost girl near the ruins of a workshop.
