Chapter Text

Porsche was on his third cup of coffee since this morning. The warm liquid soothingly flowed down his throat. The liquid was currently the only thing keeping him upright. Ever since he and Kinn got rescued from the woods a few weeks ago, he hasn’t been able to sleep properly, if at all. Every time he closed his eyes, images of Kinn getting shot and lying motionless on the floor evaded his mind, and even the few hours he managed to sleep since that day had been far from restful. The nightmares were even worse. So, who needed sleep anyway, right? And to distract himself from his ever-growing lack of sleep, he decided to throw himself into his work.

Khun Korn’s birthday party was supposed to be in three days, and while it would not be a big party, a few guests were invited, who needed to be checked. Besides, the whole security detail for the event was not yet complete and as the newly appointed co-head of security, it was Porsche’s job to make sure that no one would be harmed that evening. There were only three days left to check and plan all this, so even if Porsche would have been able to sleep, he probably couldn’t have slept either way with this amount of work.

His mind was already trying to plan out the events for the party, ignoring the small talk around him and absently sipping his cup of coffee. He definitely needed to ask Kinn if -

“Hey Porsche, Khun Kinn asked to see you,” Ken interrupted. ‘Well, perfect’ Porsche nodded and quickly drowned the rest of his coffee, quickly getting up. He was always eager to see Kinn. Porsche just didn’t want the bastard to know that because he knew Kinn and if Kinn was one thing it was smug.

Ever since coming back, the dynamic between Kinn and him had shifted. Kinn seemed more relaxed and open to him, which made Porsche bloom like a closed flower. Whenever they were together now, Porsche could feel a connection between them that hadn’t been there before. He truly trusted Kinn now, with his whole being. He didn’t want to work against Kinn anymore, not after he finally understood what made the other man tick. They were a team now and they worked great together in the field and also in bed - especially in bed.

Sleeping with Kinn had just happened. When they came back, they had been sleeping together in the hospital bed because they couldn’t bear to let the other out of their eyes. It was just sleep sleep. But after Kinn had healed and they returned to the mansion, it happened to become more than just sleep. Kinn would summon him sometimes and then after a round of hot passionate and oftentimes quite rough sex, Porsche would slip out and return to the bodyguard headquarters in the middle of the night. And it wasn’t just Kinn that called upon Porsche whenever he liked, if Porsche was in the mood, he had certain foolproof ways to let Kinn know, and the man managed to appear out of thin air mere minutes later, no matter his busy schedule. It was great. Amazing even. The only problem was the sleeping situation because every time Porsche couldn’t hear or feel Kinn beside him, he wouldn’t be able to sleep and even if he managed to catch a couple of hours without Kinn’s presence, then the nightmares would be bad enough to wake him up screaming. But sleeping in the same bed as Kinn would raise a lot of suspicion in the household and some of the guards were talking already. So, staying the night at Kinn’s bed was a no-no.

Porsche hesitated before knocking on Kinn’s door, thinking about last night when he was here doing exactly the same, leading to some fantastic action. He gathered himself and knocked twice and without a reply, he let himself in. After all, Kinn had allowed him to just barge into his personal quarters at any moment, and besides, there was nothing Kinn could be doing that Porsche hadn’t seen already.

Kinn was sitting at his desk, tipping something on his computer with documents spread all around him and his body leaning slightly backward. The rising sun illuminated his profile perfectly, his straight nose and sculpted brows, and the sharp line of his jaw all perfectly highlighted by the warm rays of the sun, bathing him in a soft glow. A stark contrast to his usual cold expression. His messy hair further added to the overall fluffiness, standing up in a few directions as if Kinn had run his fingers through his hair a few times.

Porsche knew that Kinn was incredibly handsome, but right now, he looked even more ethereal with the warm glow of the sunlight and the softness of the morning. If Porsche weren’t already in love with Kinn, he would have fallen right there.

“Took you long enough,” Kinn said. His lips curled upwards to a smile, taking out the heat of the words. This warm Kinn was so different from the cold man before that Porsche was shocked every time he felt Kinn’s affection. A slow smile spread on Porsche’s face. Kinn closed his laptop and fixed his gaze on Porsche, his eyes already turning darker. If the intensity of his gaze was anything to go by, he was already undressing Porsche in his mind but nevertheless, that small smile never left Kinn’s lips.

“I’ve missed you.”

Porsche felt himself smiling against his will. That sap. Kinn was even more of a romantic than Porsche could have ever anticipated. Kinn was the kind of guy that sent roses and sent him a good morning text. If you would look at the man with his killer gaze and his very aura that screamed ‘I am gonna fuck you up’, you never would have guessed. Every time Kinn let this soft side of himself out, it completely caught Porsche unguarded.

“Well, what are we gonna do, now that I am here?” Porsche smiled cockily.

Kinn got up and in two large strides, he stood before Porsche, drinking him in. His arms went to Porsche’s ass and Kinn pulled the other man closer.

“I got a few ideas in mind.” Kinn crashed their mouths together, his softness now all forgotten. Kinn’s hands wandered up towards Porsche’s half-undone shirt and ripped the fabric, too impatient to open the buttons. He licked inside Porsche’s mouth which tasted like coffee and lifted Porsche up, who slotted his legs right around him. Kinn carried him towards the bedroom, his mouth never leaving Porsche’s.

The boring reports on his laptop could wait. This was far more interesting.

_________

They both lay in bed breathing heavily, with Kinn on his back and Porsche sprawled halfway over him. Kinn's fingers slowly caressed Porsche’s shoulder blades, drawing the lines of Porsche’s tattoo, feeling the soft skin under his fingertips. Now that Kinn’s brain was not occupied with other needs, he studied Porsche’s face. Porsche’s brows were drawn together and there was a slight frown on his features. There were dark rings under his eyes, and he looked seconds away from falling asleep or fainting.

The other man looked like he hadn’t slept in days. It was not just his pinched expression or the almost purple rings under his eyes but a general aura of exhaustion that Porsche emitted. Kinn really didn’t know how he could have missed that when Porsche had entered his room, but just looking at him now made him feel tired in sympathy.

His hand stroked from Porsche’s shoulder blade over his neck to his jaw, his fingers lightly turning it, so that Porsche looked up towards him, Porsche’s exhausted gaze settling on Kinn.

“Porsche, are you alright?”

A confused gaze rippled over Porsche’s face, but as soon as it had come it was gone and replaced by that same cocky smile that had led to this.

“I didn’t think your ego was that big,” Porsche laughed “We’ve already had sex rougher than this.”

Kinn rolled his eyes. “No, it’s just-“

“Kinn,” Porsche quickly interrupted, “Of course I am alright. Why wouldn’t I be?” His cocky smile was back in place, but Kinn could tell that it was fake. He looked so tired that Kinn felt a pang of worry.

“You know you can talk to me, right?” Kinn said. They promised each other no more secrets. But Kinn could already see Porsche’s defenses going up, fake smile still firmly in place.

“It’s nothing really,” Porsche answered.

His lover flashed him a smile, all teeth, before he got up and went in search of his clothes that were haphazardly thrown all over the room in their haste to get them off. He inspected his ripped shirt trying to assess if it could be saved or if he had to make a detour to get a new one. Porsche grabbed one of Kinn’s shirts putting it one in one swift motion and threw Kinn his own shirt in the face who had been watching Porsche from the bed.

“You have a meeting, boss,” Porsche taunted. He finished dressing himself and put his waistcoat back on, leaving it unbuttoned because half of the buttons were missing anyway. Kinn felt a slight satisfaction that he couldn’t really button it up. Porsche didn’t seem too happy that he needed to make a detour to the dressing rooms now, but the thing couldn’t be helped now. Kinn had no regrets on his part.

Porsche quickly leaned down to press a quick kiss to his cheek and then he almost ran out of the room before Kinn had even time to react.
