The boy is mine

Summary:

“Now there are two.” Oh no. Not. Absolutely not. It wasn't happening, at least not on Rain's shift.
"Enough!" He, as usual, was acting on impulse. He got up quickly from the table, his hands pressed firmly into the wood for the urge to stand.
“Go get your boy, boy!” Sky's whisper meant a lot to Rain.

Notes:

To be honest, this is the first fic I’ve written in months. I’m kind of rusty, but I hope you like it!
English is not my first language, so please, let me know if you find any errors in my work.
Well, have a good read :)

Work Text:

Rain should have known it wasn't a good idea. By the way, when did good ideas occur when it came to his life? This whole situation started because of, at the time, a terrible and horrible idea.

Saying it would make Phayu substitute “stupid” for “cute”? Bad decision.
To say it would make Phayu fall in love? Terrible word choices.
Accept Phayu being the one who ran after him? Okay, maybe that wasn't too bad, but it still got him to that moment, so Rain had a lot to complain about.

The thing was, they were at one of several meetings between seniors and freshmen that their course decided to run. To be honest, it was basically the usual gang, which consisted of his friends, Phayu, and unfortunately, Som and Ple.

If Rain was ever attracted to Ple, right now, all he felt was the urge to drag her away from his boyfriend. She and her brother might as well take a one-way trip to hell.

“Are you going to have that sulky face all night?” Sky's voice was judgmental as he sat next to him at the table, and his very expressive friend had an eyebrow arched in his direction. Rain didn't uncross his arms, didn't even make an effort to change his expression from a grimace to something minimally happy.
"Yes."
"If you don't like that." He pointed directly to where Rain was actively trying not to look for more than 15 seconds at a time. "Just go get what's yours."
“Why does she need to touch him so much?” He asked in disgust, seeing once again Ple's hand in his Phi.
"Because she's trying to seduce him, isn't it obvious?" Rain immediately looks at his friend, pure horror on his face.
“Do you think she will make it?” Sky lets out a huff, an expression of complete disbelief and outrage taking over his face.
"You gotta be kidding me. Stop being stupid, Rain, Phayu almost kiss the ground you step on.”
"I don’t think so." Rain pouts, remembering how his boyfriend tended to pick on him.
"Because you're used to being a spoiled brat."
"Hey, I'm not!" Again, his friend arches his brow in his direction, taking a sip of his previously forgotten drink. Rain has the decency to look embarrassed.

He strode purposefully toward the scene, anger installed in every part of his being. Was the trait of speaking by touching hereditary? What the fuck, why couldn't they keep their hands to themselves? And why Phayu directing that smile full of bright white teeth at the horror brothers?! How disrespectful to Rain. He had a lot to say about this situation, and Phayu would definitely not hear the end of it.

"Goodnight." He announced his presence as soon as he was at Phayu's side. His boyfriend immediately gave him a look and stepped to the side so that Rain could stand on his right. Well, he still seems to have some love for life. And he used to say that the stupid is Rain, what a joke.
"Hi, Rain." Ple greeted him, Som only thought he was worthy of a nod. Idiot.
“Are you enjoying the night?” He puts his best sweet smile on his face, hoping his boyfriend could detect the tiniest bit of sarcasm trickling down his lips. Judging by the slightest way his shoulders tensed, he actually noticed.
“We are, yes, very fun, as always. It is a pleasure to be able to talk to Phayu at these meetings.” That bitch. The innocent little face was very deceiving. Phayu scratched his throat, looking for the first time a little embarrassed.
“It is a pleasure to talk to the freshmen of my course as well.” The refusal was subtle, but even so Rain couldn't help but feel satisfaction inside. She was just a freshman, he 's the one who was the boyfriend.
“P'Phayu, always so polite and helpful, aren't you?” Rain smiled gently, hands subtly pushing Phayu aside. Som immediately fixed his gaze on the gesture.
"It's the least I can do after all the effort you've been through the semester."
“Oh yes, a lot of effort. It was so hard to accept everything, wasn't it, Ple? Always so strong.” He might feel guilty for using such words later, now, all he wanted was for Phayu to go crazy and take them home. And judging by the way his boyfriend gulped, if he kept using that tone, he probably could succeed.
“Hm, yes, it was a very busy semester.” Poor thing, she looked so lost. Phayu moved minimally behind Rain, trying to deflect the subject to next semester's exams and activities while, in a way only his boyfriend could, put an arm around Rain to pinch his waist. It was the first warning, and the young couldn't help but smile with satisfaction.
"P'Phayu, I wanted to ask you something." Som had Rain's full attention.
"Yeah?"
“I know that Phi is very busy, and that he has a very tight schedule, but…” he seemed to need a moment to gather his courage, and Rain held his breath. Yes, Phayu's time was very limited, and no, he didn't have any time available to pay attention to anyone other than Rain, what audacity to decide to ask this kind of thing! “Would Phi mind helping me with the final course elements?!” Oh no. This is not happening. Rain glanced quickly at Phayu, the movement causing him to tilt his head back a little from the position they were in. He really hoped his eyes were showing all his anger, and he swore that if Phayu accepted, there would be no boyfriend left.

No, scratch that, it's too drastic. He would just make a point of making every second of Phayu's life hell.

“Are you facing many difficulties?”
“Well, a little. I'm stuck in analysis."
"I thought your sister was helping you, P'Som." He tried to hide his disgust, he swears he did. But still, with the hard look Som sends him, it's no use. He crosses his arms very annoyed and internally begs whatever God there is to get him out of that situation.
“Ple tries, but she'll also have her own chores eventually. I thought help from a graduate would be much better.”
"I could take a look at my schedule." Oh, that bastard. He even looked at Rain a little while answering. Joke has its time and this one certainly wasn't funny at all.
"Seriously?! Ah, Phi, thank you very much!” Ridiculous, Rain bets that the happy smile on these fruit siblings' faces is only because they think they will have the opportunity to flirt with Phayu.
“P'Phayu, you… hm… don't you think it would be better if you guys switched phones?” Nervously biting his lip, Ple wants to give his colleague a heart attack.
"No!" Too late for any containment. He was already tired of this whole prank. He was taking what was his.
"What?" Ple looked at him confused.
"Yes, what? Don't you think it's a good idea for me to hand them my number, Rain? You know, so we can talk about work eventually.”
“You can stop this. Phayu is not helping any of you.” Rain crossed his arms, stomping his foot on the floor and making sure he had a steady look on his face.
“Stop being such a brat.”
“Stop being an asshole!” Oh, he would regret that later, just the way his lover's deep gaze pierced him. They hadn't even started anything and shivers had already settled down Rain's spine.
“Rain! Have you lost your mind?!" Ple, once again, was horrified.
"You two are the only ones who went crazy here, blatantly hitting on someone else's boyfriend."
"What?" It was Som's turn to stare at Rain as if he was on drugs. Rain sent the slightest glance in Phayu's direction, a bit of reason returning to his brain and making him worry that his boyfriend wouldn't like what he was trying to do. After all, they had never discussed coming out to everyone or not.
"Who's dating? P'Phayu, you’re dating?"
"Actually, I’m." Ah, there's Rain's man. Just because he can, he leans closer to the other's strong arms.
"Since when?!"
“Since mid-semester, and I would appreciate it if you guys respected his relationship!” A pout on his lips and furrowed brows in anger contrasted with the shocked expressions of the other two. Rain felt his lover's snort of laughter before feeling the kiss on his cheek and the possession of his waist as he circled his arms
"I'm sorry, it seems my boyfriend is very possessive."
"You…but…" Ple looked like he was about to short-circuit.
"But Phi! That's not fair! What does this freshman have?!"
"All the things you'll never have." Only because Rain was still very angry at how Som was treating him since the last time in the cafeteria, before this all started.
"Please Som, don't make things difficult. I love Rain, and I'm happy with him. ” The warm sensation immediately floods his chest, and he smiles at Phayu, snuggling deeper into his arms,
"You..."
"Let's go. I wanna go home." He wasn't going to stand there listening to insults, his patience with anyone in that meeting had run out. It was time for him and Phayu to have some privacy.
"See you around." Phayu nodded, his free hand immediately holding Rain's as they walked out of that place.

If that night Rain marked every bit of Phayu's body as his own, he definitely wasn't feeling guilty enough even when his boyfriend groaned in complaint the next morning, in fact, Rain very proudly watched the artwork that his lips and teeth produced. Phayu was his, and everyone should know.
