Summary
Toni Shalifoe went into summer break before senior year on top of the world. She was captain of the basketball team, on track to play in college, and dating her dream girl. That is, until Regan dumped her. She thought that was as bad as it could get. Little did she know, when she returned to school Regan would have already moved on to none other than Shelby Goodkind’s ex.
Shelby Goodkind was known for her peppy attitude, religion, and head cheerleader status. But what (almost) no one knew about her was she was a lesbian. She had drunkenly come out to her parents and was kicked out, moving in with her best friend Fatin until she could afford her own apartment. She refused to let her current situation ruin her senior year.
Shelby stops a fight between Toni and Andrew, thus the beginning of their unlikely friendship. Toni can tell that Shelby is hiding something and she is determined to figure her out.
