Work Text:
It had been an innocent offer. Jim was tense and sore, and Oluwande had only wanted to help. He hated seeing them in pain, especially when he could do something about it. Honestly, the only person who carried more tension than Jim was probably Izzy, but Oluwande was certain he’d gut anyone who offered him a massage.
Not that Oluwande would be offering him anything any time soon, especially not after the whole marooning thing.
But Oluwande would do anything for Jim, and he was pretty sure they knew it. And so they wound up in their cabin, Jim’s shirt and jacket shucked off across the room so he could do his best to dig into the knots through their bare skin, and Oluwande got to work. Except, all his attempts just wound up with Jim hissing in pain, flinching and grimacing and arching away from his touch. He immediately backed off, but Jim insisted he continue. And so Oluwande had gotten back to it, though with a much lighter touch. Rubbing the knots out would hurt no matter what, and likely leave them sore for a few days itself, but he could at least try to make it as painless as possible.
The next problem cropped up when Oluwande gently brushed his fingers over the back and sides of their neck, trying to warm up the skin before he dug in as lightly as he could manage. Except, instead of just huffing and letting him get on with it, like they’d done with every other area, Jim buckled and folded in half over their legs with a suspicious-sounding squeak.
Which led to where they were now.
“Olu!” Jim squealed, trying to shake him off. “Come on !”
Oluwande chuckled, fluttering his fingers underneath their hair at the back of their neck. Their head snapped back, showing him their wide grin, crinkling their nose and the corners of their eyes. Fuckin’ adorable .
“I’m just trying to help, Jim! I don’t know why you’re complaining so much.”
“ Fuck you !” They shouted, making no move to actually make him stop.
Oluwande grinned. Maybe this would help make the rest of the massage a little more enjoyable.
