    Summary

    Kirk is accused of crimes against Starfleet. When the Federation presents evidence, Kirk is given a choice, resign or face court-martial and a possible lengthy prison sentence. When the only one who seems to believe he is innocent is Bones, Kirk resigns and leaves Starfleet and everyone else behind.

    Five months later, Spock comes to see him to tell him Bones is missing.
