Summary
"Stay away from the woods, girl," her mother warned. "You know not what lurks within."
Rin has heard the whispered warnings about the woods all her life, but when her family is killed and the world turns its back on her, the forest becomes the closest thing she has to a home. When she meets a beautiful yet fearsome youkai among the trees, she knows a typical village girl should be afraid. But Rin is not a typical village girl, and she soon learns that the mysterious youkai is Sesshomaru, a powerful demon lord forced from his homeland in the West. Despite their differences, they find a home in one another.
