Summary
After his failure at the carnival, Tibbles tries to orchestrate the downfall of Eda and Luz by luring them out to a beach house and disposing of them. King catches onto his plans, but Luz and Eda don't see Tibbles as a real threat. King is forced to turn to Amity, who will do anything to protect Luz, but she becomes caught between heart and duty when her teacher Lilith resolves to bring Eda to the emperor at all costs. And as King and Tibbles do battle in the shadows to determine the fate of Luz and Eda, their shared hatred and malice becomes mutual respect for each other... and start to blossom into something more.
