Work Text:
Izuku pulled at the binds that were tightly tied around his hands and feet.
He grumbled a curse under his breath as he realized that even if he managed to dislocate his wrist he wouldn't be able to slip it out of the bind. Making it so any attempt to do so would be both painful and useless.
These villains were really starting to get on Izuku’s nerves. He had just wanted to meet his friends at their favorite cat cafe but of course, he had to get kidnapped on the way there.
Why couldn't he just have a nice day off for once?
The obvious answer was no. Because the universe apparently had something against Izuku and wanted him not to have a single day of able to relax unless he stayed cooped up in his house and that wasn't really something Izuku was all that interested in doing, especially if there were cat cafes in the mix.
Of course, Izuku being tied up like this didnt stop him from trying his best to escape, obviously it made it more difficult to do so easily but he was a hero in training for a reason.
He always kept a pocket knife in his back pocket, and the binds were loose enough for Izuku to maneuver his hands enough to slip it out of his pocket and begin to saw away at the rope bindings.
They didnt even use chains, yes the quirk represents that they had injected into his neck and stopped Izuku’s quirk from working but that didnt stop him from being able to think clearly, and that didnt affect his ability to be a hero as a whole.
He wasn't immediately rendered useless because he was quirkless for the time being, even if that's what the majority of the population seemed to think.
Izuku made quick work of his wrist bindings before flipping the knife closed and hiding it in the waistband of his pants and began untying the rope around his ankles.
But right as Izuku manages to untie his ankles and stand up out of his chair, preparing to make a run for it, possibly taking his kidnapper out on his way out of this place, the wall behind him collapses.
Izuku turns around, spotting Kacchan and some of his other classmates. Obviously having been prepared to come to save Izuku from his kidnappers.
He raised an eyebrow at his classmates, laughing slightly at their surprised expressions of Izuku clearly about to escape on his own.
“Did you come here to break me out?” He asks them a smile on his face at the thought.
Kacchan scoffs, walking up to Izuku and ruffling his hair. “No shit nerd now let's get out of here before tired sensei notices we’re gone.”
Izuku rolls his eyes at Kacchan but nods. “I could've handled it myself you know, but I appreciate it. Now let's bounce.”
Kacchan rolls his eyes at Izuku, slinging an arm around his shoulders as they walk away from the ( totally not burning ) building.
