Summary
When Criminology student Nakahara Chuuya started to exchange letters with Dazai Osamu, an inmate on death row, he only intended to gain some information about how the Mafia operates with child labor. He never thought that some harmless correspondence could turn into deeper feelings, and a whole load of mess they ended up in. The more letters he received from Dazai, the more fascinated he became with the man; and after he and his friends discovered some evidence that could contradict the whole case the prosecution put together to have Dazai sentenced to death, he decided to fight tooth and nail in Court to prove the man's innocence in Oda Sakunosuke's murder.
