Work Text:
“Mr. Parker, what a handsome construction,” she delighted in teasing her husband about how they’d met, even after a decade. The gingerbread house was lopsided, but seemed safe from collapse. Noting how messy their son was she asked, “I assume you and Henry are the architects?”
“Oh, no,” Sidney shook his head, bemused. “That would be Jenny,” he nodded to their daughter, who was neat as a pin and looking very smug. “I’m merely a labourer,” he winked.
“Well, it is a fine piece of work,” Charlotte praised the trio’s efforts. “Far and away the best building Sanditon’s ever seen!”
