Work Text:
Eddie was jolted awake as his alarm rang obnoxiously. He groaned and sat up, wanting to sleep more but knowing he had to get ready for the day. He started to get out of bed.
"No," Venom grumbled, his head poking out of Eddie's body. Tendrils wrapped around Eddie, pulling him back onto the mattress. "Not ready to get up yet. Wanna stay in bed with you..."
"So do I, but I gotta get ready for work. I've got an article to research and write," Eddie sighed, making another attempt to leave the bed, though it was rather half hearted.
Venom's tendrils tightened and once again pulled him back. "No. You can do the dumb article later. I want cuddles. And it's cold out there. Stay in here with me where it's warm."
Eddie rolled his eyes fondly. "V, it's October in California. It's not that cold." Still, he made no move to escape the cuddle. It felt far too nice.
Venom peppered gentle kisses on Eddie's face. "Still warmer in here."
Eddie chuckled, returning the kisses. "Can't argue with that. I still have to get ready for work though."
It was a token protest at best and Venom knew it, the sneaky bastard. "Five more minutes," he purred as his tendrils ran over Eddie's bare chest, making the reporter shiver in pleasure.
"All right," Eddie agreed breathlessly as Venom pulled him into a deep kiss, slowly forming his muscular humanoid form to gently pin Eddie to the bed. "Five more minutes."
Needless to say, Eddie didn't leave the bed anytime soon and he had to rush to get his article finished by the deadline.
But it was all worth it.
