God was playing around again. He had grown bored once more from His work in the various universes He oversaw, and was looking for a more fulfilling activity, so He had started devoting some of His attention on a new experiment.
The Atheist's soul was fascinating. Dealing with a being so foolish and contrarian was a delightful way to pass time, and as her adventures in that magical World War showed, she would remain most entertaining for years to come. The fool was in a lose-lose situation and it didn't deter her from trying her very best and endlessly running into walls, it was an endless novelty.
Today, God was again dissecting a replicate of her soul to look more closely into it. He was using the spiritual soul growth engine as a sort of petri dish to multiply the soul in many samples in order to carry out varying destructive analysis and learn new things about its make-up.
Just as He was performing a very delicate step of the process, God's attention was diverted to a catastrophic happening in a problematic universe. That insufferable "God Emperor of Mankind" was once again caught up with his war against the Chaos Entities of his universe, and this time the very foundation of it were destabilised.
"Damn it!"
God had to act quickly to avoid that universe fragmenting and destabilising its whole neighbourhood. But just as He did, He dropped the spiritual soul growth engine.
"Damn!"
The petri dish dropped on the ground and broke, freeing thousands of The Atheist's souls into the wild. In the blink of an eye, the powerful, willful souls scattered in every direction without God being able to do anything to catch them.
"Oh fuck Me!"
This was a mess. Oh, this was such a mess. He was going to spend forever repairing that mistake...
