Summary
Five years had passed since the last time Izuku had seen Katsuki. Five years since Izuku beat him in the league conference and five years since he also lost to someone else in the semi finals.
Izuku knew that someday, sooner or later they were going to meet again.
Did he want that? He didn't know.
Maybe all he wanted was to see Katsuki again to finally give closure to all those bittersweet childhood memories. Finally ask all those 'Why?' that sometimes popped in his head and kept him awake inside his worn out tent when traveling from gym to gym, or voice all the apologies that formed inside his chest when looking at the roof of a cozy room in the pokemon center of a big city.
Izuku would have never thought that all it took was a little trip back home, to pallet town. The place that watched them grow as friends, where the little old houses saw them get their first pokemon, the forest heard them dream big and eventually, drift apart.
‘Pokemon AU’ where Deku and Kacchan meet again in their hometown after years of living their own adventures, and that being just the beginning of what will become a series of surprising coincidences, new regions and two rivals who once were best friends.
