Work Text:
"Alex, I can't talk right now,"
Alex rolled their eyes, moving the position the phone was in. "And what prevents you from talking?"
"My job," Morgan replied. "I am at work,"
Alex scoffed. "Come on; you do heists every day, it seems; talking to me won't be such a big deal,"
"Alex," Morgan started. "I am a scientist, now let me get back to work,"
"Okay, but your only a scientist for a heist, right?"
"I'm hanging up," Morgan said, about to end the call.
"Right?"
Morgan rolled his eyes, hanging up on his friend. Turning to Gus, he said. "We need to get these materials found before people figure out we don't work here,"
"On it, boss,"
"When did Alex say they'd be back?" Malcolm Stewart asked his wife.
Trisha Stewart responded. "They said they are trying to convince Morgan to join them,"
Their smiles were infectious as they broke out grinning.
"So we should make more goodies for Morgan to take home,"
Trisha nodded. "My thoughts exactly,"
"Can I ride the horses?" Ducky asked, pulling on Dave's sleeve. "I wanna ride the horses,"
Dave helplessly looked over at his wife. He mouthed. 'Why did we think the county fair was a good idea?'
Diego joined them then. "Yes, dear, you can ride the horses if they let you, and then let's go find something to eat; I have my eye on that stall over there,"
Dave allowed himself to be pulled along by their child, Diego following.
Diego may have taken some photos of the event, but who wouldn't?
