Unfortunately, Morgan knew exactly why the comment section was arguing about that. It was because they’d made the, in retrospect terrible, decision to lean against Alex a bit to prove that they hadn’t somehow photoshopped him in. They’d had an online argument to win, alright? It wasn’t their fault if Alex had zero ability to mask his expression.…
Morgan got invited to the Hero Gala every year. Their family seemed to think it would eventually convince Morgan to drop the whole villain thing. Usually, they just threw the invitations away without opening them, but this time they’d gotten the idea to show up and try to cause as much discomfort as they could. It’d be fun to see how much they could get away with before they got kicked out, and it might even prevent them from being invited back.
It was also standard for heroes to bring a guest with them. Usually it was a spouse or a sidekick, so Morgan had originally planned to ignore it. Then they’d realized doing so would mean spending several hours, alone, with their family, and decided to bring Alex.- Language:
