    Thor could hear the battle before he could see it. The clatter of swords and splinter of shields, they were so common it neared the point of ambiance in New Asgard.

    He let out a sigh, more often than not these days he longed to escape battle altogether. With dwindling numbers, he found battle not only needless but actively poisoning what was left of their people. A far cry from his hunger for it in his youth. Battle had already taken so much, but he refused to let it take any more so with an outstretched palm he called Stormbreaker.
