Chapter Text

“Your plan is to do what now?” Hyunjin lifted his head from Jisung’s stomach, where he was resting after a long day of doing exactly nothing the entire day, except for playing league. “How are you planning on doing that?”

“I don’t know. We’d have to google it.” Jisung shrugged, running his fingers through Hyunjin’s hair, pulling the strands gently. “Or ask Mingi. He did the same.”

“Getting rid of your citizenship is not something you just ask Mingi about.” Hyunjin huffed, sitting on Jisung’s hips, looking at his boyfriend like, he lost his mind. “Baby. I really love you, but you’re dumb sometimes.”

He lifted Jisung’s shirt slightly, so he could admire the tattoo around his waist. It healed perfectly, leaving the two koi fishes circulating around his waist. How marvelous is that? They’ve changed so much in the past year that it was unbelievable.

“I bet he has some connections in the office.” Jisung moved his hands to Hyunjin’s thighs, tracing random shapes with his fingers. “I don’t want to be forced back to Korea to do my military service.”

Hyunjin purred when he felt Jisung’s fingers and they were successfully distracting him from doing any thinking whatsoever. Jisung actually had a point because Hyunjin also wanted to sever any ties to their home country, and if they’d be randomly pulled into the military in a few years, that wouldn’t do them any good. They just escaped from there and started their new lives. He’s not going to throw it down the drain for two years of isolation.

“But that means we’d have to get American citizenship.” Hyunjin pointed out, resting on top of Jisung, kissing his neck gently. “Or get a Canadian one. Somehow prove we’re related to Yeosang.”

He wasn’t sure if he was joking or theorizing at this point. Because it was an important matter, but it was putting so much tension in the air and that’s not something Hyunjin wants to feel next to Jisung. Even if it was unintentional.

“Because both of us are remotely similar to him.” Jisung let out a loud laugh, throwing his head back, giving Hyunjin better access to his neck, and then they heard a loud slam against their bedroom wall. “Oh, shut it lizard.”

Jisung hit the wall in the return and could imagine Jeongin rolling his eyes as he was making out with Yeosang, just like he was doing with Hyunjin right now. Uh, that’s something he’d rather not see, even in his brain. Yes, he walked on them, making out way too many times. But this happened to everyone all the time in their household. Eight couples living in one apartment; it was bound to happen.

“Don’t tell me you’re thinking about what I think you’re thinking.” Hyunjin sucked a mark onto Jisung’s skin, trying to divert his attention back to him. The silence he got in response was worth more than a thousand words. “I can’t believe you’re thinking about them making out when I’m right in front of you.”

“You act like I want to think about that.” Jisung grabbed Hyunjin’s chin, pulling him in for a kiss.

Hyunjin hummed in satisfaction, straddling Jisung’s leg. One of his legs rested comfortably in between Jisung’s. He pressed their chests together, grinding his leg into Jisung’s dick slowly. Hyunjin is going to make Jeongin regret ever sticking his nose in whatever they’re doing in their own bedroom. Jisung moaned loudly in response, pulling Hyunjin’s hair.

“Oh my god, can you not do it in broad daylight?” Jeongin opened the door to their bedroom wide to stop them from being so damn loud. “There are people around, you know?”

“All I see is a lizard.” Jisung bit down another moan because Hyunjin kept applying the pressure to his crotch. This little shit. “It’s not like I didn’t walk on you and Sang making out in the bathroom yesterday.”

Jeongin scoffed in disbelief, slamming the door on his way out. Hyunjin looked at Jisung, feeling the proud bloom in his chest, to see his boyfriend so worked up by him. It was such a pretty sight, Jisung being all flustered, panting heavily. Sometimes Hyunjin can’t believe his boyfriend is real. And that he loves him as much as Hyunjin loves him.

“Guys, dinner.” Seonghwa’s voice echoed through the entire flat, followed by doors opening and closing.

Hyunjin rolled from Jisung, putting first better shirt on. Which happened to be covered in spray paint entirely. His eyes roamed over Jisung’s body, stopping on his legs. Especially the thigh tattoo. God, he’s so hot. Getting that tattoo was the best thing that Jisung has ever done. He also noticed Jisung was covering something with the bottom of his shirt and he came closer to the bed. Then he pulled Jisung’s hands away, revealing the erection, which caused Jisung to fluster even more.

“C-can you not?” Jisung muttered, standing up instantly, before putting on Hyunjin’s sweatpants. They are just baggier than his. Covering his erection perfectly, especially paired with an oversized shirt. “Oh, stop looking at me like this.”

“Ever since when you’re so shy?” Hyunjin laughed, taking Jisung’s hand in his, before exiting their bedroom.

Little did he know Jisung was already plotting his revenge. He wouldn’t let Hyunjin walk all over him like that. But to do that, they had to get a little closer to the dining room. Just as they were about to enter, Jisung stopped abruptly, causing Hyunjin to fall back a little.

“What’s go-...”

Hyunjin didn’t get to finish the sentence because Jisung pushed his back against the wall, before attacking his neck with his lips, biting and sucking until Hyunjin had to bite his lip to avoid moaning so loud, everyone in the room next to them would hear. His hands moved onto Jisung’s ass, squeezing it gently. Jisung bit Hyunjin’s collarbone harshly, to muffle his own moan. He pulled back, looking at Hyunjin’s abdomen. Now his erection was clearly visible through the pattern of his sweatpants. Yeah, Jisung was only able to notice because, when they were making out, Hyunjin’s shirt rode up. But still, it doesn’t have to be visible, just Hyunjin has to know.

“Took you long enough,” Chan said when they finally sat at the table and Hyunjin was constantly fixing his shirt, blushing more and more every second. “Are you alright, Hyunjin?”

This question directed all the attention to Hyunjin. Every single one of his 15 friends was looking at him, while eating. Jisung didn’t feel bad at all, because Hyunjin didn’t have to explain why he was acting weird after all. He was just meant to sit there and feel the pressure that Jisung presented him with. His saving grace was San, taking a hit from his vape, which alarmed Hongjoong.

“No smoking at the table.” He reprimanded him, waving his fork at the boy. “Really, you kids these days.”

“You’re smoking as well.” San whined, putting it back in his pocket. “What’s the difference if I do it at the table or by the window?”

“Jongho is not a smoker.” Hongjoong pointed out, chuckling under his breath because he actually found the conversation amusing.

“But I don’t mind.” Jongho was way more focused on Seungmin’s plate and stealing from it to actually care about a little bit of smoke in the air. “You smoke around the flat all the damn time, so not much of a difference.”

Hongjoong huffed, getting back to his pasta. They were trying to have family dinners at least once a week. To catch up with what’s been going on in their lives because not always they could meet during the week. Except for the people that were majoring in the same thing. Like Hongjoong, Jisung, Chan and Changbin were studying music. They saw enough of each other. But for example Jisung couldn’t talk with Yeosang, who was focusing on singing mostly, even if they studied in the same damn department. It was also a good moment to ask weird questions, with a sliver of hope for a response. Which Jisung saw as a perfect opportunity.

“Do you know how one can get American citizenship?” he asked out of nowhere, when he got bored with teasing Hyunjin with his leg under the table.

“You need a green card.” Hongjoong said, looking at him with furrowed brows. “Why do you ask? Assuming you’re the one who wants to get it. Korea doesn’t allow dual citizenship.”

“That’s the point.” Hyunjin dragged in, throwing his legs over Jisung’s, so he could face Hongjoong, who was sitting at the top of the table. “We want to avoid military service and South Korea in general for the rest of our lives, preferably.”

Jisung looked at him with a confused pout, which Hyunjin found cute. Just 30 minutes ago Jisung was the only one trying to get rid of it and now it’s the two of them. They’re always the ones looking for trouble, apparently. But he was happy Hyunjin was on it as well. This means they wouldn’t be separated in the future by surprise.

“You can apply for citizenship 5 years after you get your green card. You’re still 21, so even if you get it in a year, you should have plenty of time.” Seonghwa added, getting a couple of confused looks in return. There were so many secrets unveiled during their family time. “What? Me and Joong already did that. For the very same reason, actually. Long before we found Ji crying his eyes under our balcony.”

Now this was something new. Even Jisung didn’t know that, but well, he never asked. It also never came up in the conversation. He wouldn’t casually walk up to his friends, asking them for their citizenship status. He knew Yeosang and Jongho were Canadian in the eyes of law, while Lix and Chan were Australian. Nobody knew anything about Mingi’s and nobody would be surprised if he randomly pulled out European I.D out of his ass. The news stirred the atmosphere at the table a lot. Everyone started calculating how long they have till their enlistment and Wooyoung even pulled out a calculator after failing that a couple of times. While Jisung was getting embarrassed, remembering how he actually met Hongjoong and Seonghwa. That wasn’t the proudest moment of his life.

“No, no, no. I have only 7 to 9 years left.” He started panicking, shoving the calculator app into San’s face. “I’m not doing it. No one is going to force me.”

“Babe, get the phone away from my face.” San tossed Wooyoung’s phone away. “We can do what Hyunsung is doing. It’s not like we’re ever getting back to Korea.” He kissed his forehead, trying to calm him down.

It seemed to calm Wooyoung down, and Hyunjin giggled. It seems like they started some sort of revolution and now everyone wants to suddenly drop their citizenships. Chan looked over at them like the French Revolution was about to begin, and it was their fault. Jisung just shrugged, getting back to his food. He was happy with the fact that he got an answer and the chaos that it caused wasn’t part of his problem.

“Mingi, what about you?” Felix asked the boy, who was unbothered by all that. “Are you going on a family trip to the office with them?”

“Wait, I didn’t tell you?” Mingi looked up from his phone, almost dropping it to the bowl full of pasta. “I have a Canadian passport.”

Jisung actually knew it because he actually talked with Mingi before approaching Hyunjin. To ask him if there are any ways to avoid the enlistment without taking American citizenship. That’s when Mingi dropped the bomb that he actually never cared about it because he was Canadian.

“But you lived in Korea with your parents.” Changbin said, thinking if he recalled it correctly.

“Yeah, but my mum gave birth to me when I was in Canada, so I got the citizenship by the place of birth and my parents gave me a choice when I was older.” Mingi shrugged like it was not a big deal. “I don’t know. I never paid any mind to that.”

Felix was entirely sure this dude is in a mafia and no matter how many times Mingi denies it, it won’t change. He just casually forgot to mention he was Canadian by law since birth and was just chilling on his phone. So this means only 9 of them are going to run around various offices in the next couple of days. Good thing was they still had a few days of Christmas break left, so they’d find time for all of that.

“Also, my friend was asking when you’re gonna go back on the stage again.” Mingi added, trying to change the topic because Chan’s and Seonghwa’s heads were already fuming, trying to figure out how to get all of them green cards based on student visas. “You remember Superbee, right?”

Their conversation directed to stage performances, easing mostly Wooyoung, who was still panicking and San thought about suffocating him with the sauce. Chan and Seonghwa left the table to coordinate this trip. Because the ladies working in the office are going to freak out once they go in there unprepared. Or even if they step a foot in there. It was tough for Seonghwa to get one a few years ago, not to mention getting one for 9 people. Jisung also left the table, throwing himself on the couch, with Hyunjin following shortly after.

“Just don’t lay on top of me or I might throw up all over you.” Jisung warned him, patting the space next to him. “We need to buy a bigger couch.”

Hyunjin cuddled next to him, resting his head on Jisung’s chest, ready to take an afternoon nap. He really doesn’t want to go back to university because he got so used to napping with Jisung whenever he wanted. Jisung wrapped his arm around Hyunjin’s waist, tracing the tattoo on his forearm with his finger.

“Do you have the money for the bigger couch?” Minho also went to the living room, sitting in the armchair, pouting because his boyfriend was busy with Seonghwa, figuring out the whole operation. So he had no one to cuddle with.

“I’ll sell some more beats and I’ll have it.” Jisung closed his eyes, resting his hand just above Hyunjin’s ass, sliding it under his shirt. “But now I want more sleep.”

One by one, all their friends gathered in the living room, occupying various pieces of furniture to chill together. Jisung and Hyunjin were already dozing off, preparing themselves mentally for the rush that’s going to happen in the next couple of days. It’s going to be a mess and they both know this.

“Guys, we need your social security numbers. If you have one of course. And if not then better figure out how to get it in a week.”

Seonghwa shouted from the kitchen, making Jisung turn to the side, covering his face with a pillow before falling asleep.
