Chapter Text
It felt like he'd been fleeing for a long time, though he wasn't sure how much time had past. Not that it mattered considering he was being chased.
He had tried bobbing and weaving his way through the thick forest he was in, using the many trees as coverage, but the two that were chasing him weren't letting up at all. What made matters worse, was that he was starting to get tired from the amount of attacks he was dodging as well as giving. He was starting not to float as high as before, the ground getting closer and closer the more he kept fleeing.
He turned a hard right to try and lose them but-
BAM!!!
One of the Pokemon that was chasing him, a Vikavolt, had caught him by surprise by coming out from the other side of the tree he was turning from, and slammed him with their body.
His face contorted in pain as he fell and rolled on the ground, his body getting hit against another tree. As he looked up, he could see the Vikavolt charging an Electro Ball...straight for him.
He had managed to roll away just in time before the attack hit him, but the force of the blast still managed to get him, causing him to land roughly on the ground. It didn't matter to him though, he needed to get away from this thing.
He lifted himself with a grunt, and still had enough strength left in him to float away once more, thus eliciting the chase to continue, with Vikavolt right behind him...
The ground was still too close for his liking, but it was better he got away like this, then not at all. He still didn't know what the motives were of those two people that were trying to capture him, but whatever they were, he could tell it wasn't anything good.
He tried rounding another tree, as Vikavolt kept trying to shoot him down once more with many Electro Ball attacks, then-
BAM!!!
He cried out in pain, as he got hit again. This time, however, it wasn't Vikavolt who hit him, but another Pokemon, an Araquanid. They had caused him to crash down onto the hard ground below by crawling around the tree, and used Headbutt on him.
As soon as he fell, he tried getting up to float away again, only to collapse under his own weight from shear exhaustion alone.
The Vikavolt and Araquanid took advantage of this, and started preparing more attacks. That being Bubble Beam and Sticky Web respectfully.
As soon as they both fired their attacks, he had just enough strength to roll out of the way once more. Although, the attacks may have missed, the force of the blast from Bubble Beam still hurt him. Thus, causing his colorful body to slam against another tree, and evoking another cry of pain.
He seen the two Pokemon looming over him, as if they won, but he wasn't going to let them win that easily...
Still lying upright at the base of the tree he slammed into, with some of his depleting strength still left in him no less, he managed to lift his hands into the air, and formed two transparent boxes around the two Pokemon. Before they could process what was happening, he snapped his fingers...
And up in explosive flames they went.
Once the attack ceased, he could see the two were down, but they were just simply laying on the ground, weakened, possibly very close to fainting...but they were still struggling to try to get back up.
Before he could think of what to do next in his battered state, he heard rumbling in the distance. Almost sounding like two motorcycles...
This was bad. He needed to think of something, and something fast! He would teleport somewhere else, but no matter how many times he did so in the past, they would always manage to find him. It just seemed pointless now.
He heard the rumbling get closer. Then again, if he teleported now, and they still found him again, at least it would give him a chance to recover from this chase a little bit so he could gather enough strength to be able to fight them again. That was it. He was going to teleport, but as soon as he went to raise his hand...
They had already arrived.
Since the sun was setting, and it was getting dark out, he could only see their silhouettes from his angle. What he could see though, other then the blazing lights from the motorcycles shining in his eyes, was that the one to his left had long hair, while the one on his right had short hair. He could also see that their hair color was almost the same, with one being slightly darker then the other. They both seemed to wear similar attire, and their bikes were the same.
“Well, well, well! Look who we finally cornered sis!” The person with long hair exclaimed. The voice was male.
“I can see that.” The one with short hair deadpanned. The voice was ruff, but it was indeed female nonetheless. “You've really caused a lot of trouble for the two of us didn't you...I mean, just look what you did to our Pokemon!” She said irritatedly. Her hand positioned outwards towards the two nearly fainted Pokemon, who were now standing, albeit very much struggling to.
He could only glare as a response.
He then seen the one with long hair reach into his side-pocket, and pulled out something small. “Well now that we've got you cornered, I can finally do something I've been wanting to do for a long time!” He threw the small object from his hand. “Here, catch!”
As soon as the object was thrown into the air, it then expanded into an electrical net.
Before it even had the chance to touch him though, he managed to raise his hand in one swift motion, with the last of his strength, snapped, and he teleported away just in time. The net landing on the base of the tree where he once was...
The long haired man on his bike groaned, and put his hands on his face. “I can't believe it! We were so close!” He exclaimed.
“Calm down Marco. We have a tracker on him, remember?” The one with short hair pulled out a small laptop from her bag and opened it, revealing a map of where they were. “No matter where he teleports to, we'll find him. See?” She showed Marco a small, red, blinking dot on her laptop.
“I know Polo, but we were THIS close to capturing him! Ugh! It's so frustrating...” Marco crossed his arms. His blonde hair slightly being blown from the gentle breeze. “Every time we THINK we have him, poof! He's gone!” Marco looked over to Polo. “That guy better pay us extra for this...”
“He already did bro, remember? We wouldn't have taken up this job if he didn't offer to. He said he would pay us extra if this was taking too long. Ya know,” She shrugged. “to motivate us? Now,” She closed her laptop as she tried fixing her messy dark blonde hair with her hand. “let's have our Pokemon healed up, then have another go at this. That sound alright to you?” Polo asked, looking over at Marco.
“..........Fine. Do you know exactly where he ended up this time?” He looked inquisitively at her.
“According to the map I just looked at, and your not going to like this, it looks like he teleported near Daffodil Village.” She stated.
“Oh come ON!!! This thing is NOT making it any easier for us, huh?!” Marco yelled as he threw his arms out.
“Keep your voice down!” Polo hissed. “Are you trying to let everybody know were here?” She glared at him.
“No,” Marco whispered. “but I'm telling you sis! If we get seen there-”
“You don't think I know that already?” Polo pulled out a Pokeball. “Araquanid return.” A light enveloped her Pokemon and had it sent back in it's Pokeball. “Quit whining. We'll think of something, okay? Plus, I did say that he was NEAR Daffodil Village. Not smack dab in the middle of it. We'll be fine.” She readied her motorcycle. “Come on.”
“Alright...” Marco pulled out his Pokeball. “Vikavolt, return.” The same light enveloped Vikavolt, and returned it into it's Pokeball. Marco then readied his motorcycle.
“We better catch him Polo. My patience is wearing thin.” He gave her a serious look.
“I think I should be more worried about the patience of who's paying us then yours.” She turned her bike around, while Marco silently did the same. “Now let's go already! We've wasted enough time here as it is.” She looked ahead at the uneven makeshift road the two drove down on. “We have a Pokemon to catch.”

The moment he finished teleporting, he had collapsed side-ways on the grass-filled ground in a heap. He felt utterly exhausted from the pain alone. He couldn't move much at the moment, except for his head. He looked around and seen that he was surrounded by large bushes and tangled foliage that seemed to almost cover him in darkness. He didn't know exactly where he ended up at, but he didn't care, just as long as he managed to get as far away as possible from those two people that were hunting him. Hopefully, it would take them quite a while before finding him again. In the meantime, at least, he felt a little safe here amongst the leaves.
He tried getting into a more comfortable position on the grassy ground, only to immediately regret that decision once sharp pain shot through his whole body. He winced for a moment before deciding to fully lay his head down, trying to ignore the pain still going through his body. It wasn't the most comfortable thing ever, but he'd rather be laying here, hidden, then found by more humans who wished to do him more harm. It always happened...every time he would encounter one after all.
He finally closed his mis-matched eyes as the pain dulled, and fell into an uneasy sleep.
