Work Text:

Barou still couldn't understand why the fascination of his younger sisters' with the white giant. Seriously, he didn't get it, Barou himself found him disturbingly annoying.

Anyway, he's not that annoying.

That's why now he finds himself with an arm intertwined with Nagi's, taking care that he doesn't collide with anything or anyone while they were on their way to pick up Kumiko and Maeko from school.

"I swear Nagi, if we're late to pick up my sisters because we're bumping into everyone, the next thing you know, I'll be in jail for attempted murder." Barou said annoyed after colliding with an old woman who yelled at them to be more careful.

"Oh I'm sorry". Nagi apologized before putting his handheld game away and putting his hands in his sweatshirt, a strange action Barou thought.

For the next few minutes, neither of them let go of the other's touch, despite the fact that Nagi was now fully capable of dodging passers-by. Barou didn't want to let go of the white-haired man's arm, and Nagi didn’t want to let go of Barou's arm.

It was a strange situation to be honest, Barou knew with certainty that if Nagi was not forced to move, he would not, however here was the one with white hair accompanying him to see some girls with whom he had only lived twice, Knowing that Nagi did not live very close, Barou's curiosity did not leave him so when he reached the next red light he asked Nagi.

"Hey Nagi."

"What?"

"Why are you accompanying me?"

Apparently the question ended up disconcerting Nagi because of his confused expression. “What are you talking about? You told me that your sisters wanted to see me, so here I am, idiot”.

“No, that's not what I mean, I mean why do you listen to my sisters' wishes if you met them last week? I know how much you hate moving if you don't have to, it just seemed weird to me that you would do it for two girls you barely know." Don't get him wrong, Barou was happy with Nagi's company.

"Oh that, well, they're your sisters right? I like to spend time with them, they are fun, besides, so I can spend more time with you”. The last thing was said in a barely audible whisper but loud enough for Barou to hear.

They didn't talk about feelings, they didn't have deep conversations and they definitely didn't speak from the heart like Nagi just did, maybe that was why Barou was so surprised to hear those words come out of Nagi's mouth.

"Fine".

For the next 5 minutes before arriving at the school where Barou's sisters went, because yes, they could go by car but both Kumiko and Maeko prefer to walk back home and who is Barou to say no?

Arriving at the entrance of the school they both waited patiently until two blurs of black hair jumped towards them knocking them down in the process.

Surprising action considering the size of Barou and Nagi.

"Hi Sei!" The lesser Barou shouted. Yes, 'Sei' because they both gained confidence very quickly.

"Kumi, Mae, let him stand up." Barou clearly stated that he didn't feel hurt by not receiving a greeting from his sisters.

"Hello big brother." The girls greeted him after moving away a bit so that Nagi could get up from the ground.

Barou's sisters were 9 and 10 years old, Kumiko being the oldest, they had a tank full of energy, they were like the female version of Barou, only in appearance of course.

"Hello Kumiko, hello Maeko, how was your days?" Asked the white-haired one after rejoining.

“My day was amazing! Today a puppy came into class and... “.

Barou listened as his sisters spoke normally to his giant friend, it was almost domestic as everything came naturally, too domestic for Barou's point of view and it didn't help that he had Kumiko by the hand while Maeko had practically jumped into Nagi's arms when Barou tried to grab her hand to walk back home, so particularly today they almost seemed like a family, that thought made Barou's stomach twist and he didn't know if it was a good or a bad sign, lately He had felt weird around Nagi, they weren't fighting seriously like before and he didn't like where this train of thought was going.

"Are you alright Sho?" His little sister asked when he saw him sigh.

"Yes all ok".

Barou knew that his sisters were quite cheerful, but since 10 minutes ago they were laughing too much and when they do that it means probable problems, so he left the kitchen where he was preparing lunch for everyone to go to the living room. “What are…?” Barou couldn't finish the question as he saw the incredible scene in front of him, he felt the air leave his lungs and an unconscious smile formed on his face.

Nagi was sitting on the floor next to the sofa while letting Kumi and Mae make his hair into ponytails and braids, his handheld game had been abandoned somewhere, it seemed like there had been a fight between hairdressers in his head but he didn't seem to care for he had an expression of total comfort and calm on his face.

“Look at Sei's hairstyle! Isn't he cute Sho?” One of her sisters yelled at him.

"Yes, he looks really beautiful." Barou answered without being aware of what he had answered.

Nagi opened his eyes and saw him with a sincere smile, one that Nagi had only seen when he's talking about his sisters. At that moment a wave of feelings hit him.

“Of course it looks beautiful! We comb it, give me five Kumi!”. Maeko yelled at her sister.

It was at that moment when both of them fully registered what Barou had previously said that their faces turned a cute crimson color.

The oblivious girls ran to the bathroom to wash their hands so they could eat their lunch.

Neither Barou nor Nagi looked at each other for the next few minutes, neither of them were good with feelings but the black haired slip had crossed the line that neither of them wanted to cross, well, until now.

"I-".

"Then-".

  They both spoke at once.

“Okay, I'll go first”: Barou said.

"No, I want to go first." Nagi said with a frown.

"Oh yeah? Well, look, I don't give a shit."

"You're an idiot, what I was saying was that-".

"Shut up, I'll talk first." Barou said with an authoritative tone that made Nagi shut up because he knew they weren't going to get anywhere if they kept arguing. "I know you heard about what I said a while ago." He received a nod from the white-haired man. "I suck at this topic of feelings and love, but I think I like you Seishirou." Barou finished saying, with the same confidence as always but the slight hesitation in his voice revealed the bundle of nerves he really was.

Nagi started fiddling with the straps of his sweatshirt, Reo hadn't told him how to receive a confession or how to make one, but he would do his best. "Uhm I think I like you too gorila."

The room fell into an awkward silence, until Maeko called from the dining room that she was hungry.

Barou turned around motioning for Nagi to follow him.

Lunch was certainly awkward, for the first time in his life Nagi was devouring the plate without knowing what to do, while Barou had barely touched his food.

After lunch, the girls ran to their rooms to watch television, leaving the white-haired and black-haired man alone again.

Nagi had an idea and prayed it would work as he got up from the table and walked around it to face Barou. "Would you like to... be my boyfriend, Shouei?" He said looking at him with a new found confidence.

Clearly Barou's brain short-circuited upon hearing Nagi's words, but all his thoughts only said 'Yes'. "Yeah, I'd like that". He said, giving him another of his sincere smiles, smiles that were becoming Nagi's favorites.

From their current positions Nagi was able to hold Barou's face in his hands to slowly approach and plant a kiss on his lips. Unlike their dynamic, the kiss was quite soft and pleasant for both of them.

The idiots had fallen in love with each other, it was a clear fact.

"Yes!".

They both heard the scream and quickly separated.

Oh shit, his sisters, they were both already panicking until Maeko spoke again.

"Pay me, I told you they didn't last this week." A defeated Kumiko paid her sister $20.

Apparently his sisters knew of the mutual love between them before they did, Barou was able to laugh calmly, he loved Seishirou and he loved his sisters, Nagi smiled with love at the sight, this new life would not sit badly with him.
