Worrying for Her

Summary:

In the moments leading up to the Evers Ball, Agatha’s worries for Sophie. A double drabble for Agatha’s thoughts. Day 16 of Whumptober 2022.

Prompt: No Way Out | Mind Control

Notes:

I ended up watching the film on Netflix last night and really enjoyed it! I haven’t read the books yet (I know, I know), but I will be soon. So please know that I only know what happens in the film, not in the books.

When I watched the film, I fell in love with Agatha. Her side of the story was the one that really intrigued me the most. Hence me attempting to write her first.

Work Text:

Every choice she made, every word filled said with passion and desperation, every action she’d taken, it was all for nothing.

What was once a friendship that bordered on sisterhood was fractured like a broken mirror. It was all Agatha could do to hold it together long enough to come up with some sort of desperate plan, even if all of her others had failed so miserably and driven the wedge between her and Sophie deeper and deeper.

With the Evers Ball less than an hour away, Agatha did everything she could to come up with some sort of idea to try to break Sophie from whatever haze of evil Rafal had her under. Was it some sort of magical mind control? Did he promise her something? She just didn’t know. The thought terrified her.

Every moment they were separated made everything spiral more and more out of control. All Agatha wanted was to save Sophie from herself and bring her home. Bring them both home. But right now, she didn’t know if that was going to ever be possible.

Even if she had wanted an adventure to finally escape Gavaldon, this wasn’t an adventure she wanted any part of.
