Chapter Text
Bakugou Katsuki was one of the fastest-growing Twitch streamers at the moment. He was called DynamightLive and was a fairly new streamer, all things considered. He started two years earlier and had quickly risen in popularity. Now, he got nearly 30k viewers per stream, 10k subscribers, and almost a million followers. That, paired with 2 million YouTube subscribers, 5 million Instagram followers, and 6 million Twitter followers, he was a decent-sized creator.
“Hey Extras, welcome back to the stream.” The screen switched from the Starting Soon screen to a full facecam of the one and only DynamightlLive. The bottom half of his face was covered by one of his custom face masks, green with a large orange X across the front. He was in one of his sweatshirts, the top of a grenade shown on the screen. His red eyes were slightly squinted as the audience assumed he was smiling at the camera.
Behind him, slightly blurry, was a shelf full of all sorts of merch. Stuff from his friends; Chargebolt, Cellophane, Pinky, and Red Riot. All popular streamers. They played games but mostly prided themselves on the banter between games that had people coming back every time. He owned a Chargebolt bag, Cellophane tape dispenser, Pinky shoes, and Red Riot plush that were all displayed.
“I hope you guys are ready to fuck some shit up on GTA with the Idiot Brigade.” He said, the screen changing again to show the title screen of the game, his facecam in the corner.
The Idiot Brigade was what they called themselves, the squad. They had a shared YouTube channel that was uploaded at least once a week, with irl content. The viewers ate it up. The most recent was a huge game of tag on a parkour course. Dynamight had won, of course.
“Also, before we get started, this is a quick reminder of upcoming things. My new merch line drops in one week. And the week after that, we have a panel at TwitchCon. So come to that if you want to see us in person.” He winked at the camera and then unmuted from the call he and his friends were on.
“Dynamight in the house!” Chargebolt yelled. Dynamight shook his head.
“Dunce face. Good to know you aren’t any quieter.” Denki Kaminari was the first out of the Idiot Brigade that Katsuki had met.
“Oh, never, my man.” Chargebolt laughed.
“Hello everyone!” Pinky joined the call with Cellophane.
“Yo. Ready to do some damage?”
“Hell yeah. So manly!” Red Riot cheered.
“I fucking hate all of you.” Dynamight rolled his eyes.

“Alright, bye, extras. No more streams this week. I have some surprises coming up, so look out for that.” He waved. “See ya.”
He clicked the end stream button and sighed, leaning back in his chair. He removed his mask and ran a hand through his hair, shaking it a bit out of the gelled do. He opened Twitter on his phone and typed out a quick tweet, posting it and standing, heading out of his office.
It was quiet in the house, but that was normal. He tended to stream late at night because that’s when the rest of his friends decided was the best time.
They had a recording planned for the rest of this week, and they were hiring a new social media guy, so he had to be up quite early. He send a quick text to their group chat and all but dove into bed, curling up and falling asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.
He woke up to the sun shining through the window. He groaned and turned over in the bed, grabbing his phone. His friends had texted late into the night, so he took his time scrolling through the messages. He checked Twitter, but nothing crazy was going on. He replied to a few fans before clicking his phone off again and getting ready for the day.
His friends refused to tell him what they were planning, but had told him that he needed to dress nice for it. They then sent him an address. He rolled his eyes but pulled on a nice outfit; black button-up, black slacks, a red tie. He rolled the sleeves and fixed his hair. Then, applied just the smallest amount of makeup. Concealer to hide a few blemishes and eyeliner Mina said he looked hot in. He was a public figure, after all. He needed to look the part.
He got in the car and sped off towards the address.
As he pulled up, he noticed huge office building. There were no telling features of what it was, it was blank on the outside. He pulled up to the gate and rolled down his window. The man at the gate nodded and let him through. He pulled up to the front, where his friends were standing around. Their normal camera crew was standing around, laughing and joking with them. The cameras were on.
In the group was also a man he had never seen before. He was short with a mess of green hair atop his head, freckles he could see from here, and bright eyes. He looked around at everything with a childlike curiosity. Katsuki couldn’t help but think he looked cute.
He opened the door and stepped out, making his way to the group.
“Bakubabe! You’re here!” Mina cheered, waving at him. She ran up and wrapped her arms around him.
“Sup, bro!” Eijirou said, smiling at him.
“Yeah, yeah.” He rolled his eyes and patted Mina on the back. These idiots were his best friends. “Why am I here?”
The camera was pointed at them now, moving in close to the group.
“Well, it was supposed to be a surprise. You do like everything for our group. Organizing events, editing videos, making sure we’re on schedule. So we wanted to do this for you, without you knowing.” Denki said.
“What is it?” He scowled.
“It’s an office building! In fact, it is the official Idiot Squad office building!” Eijirou said.
“You’re fucking with me.”
“No! Seriously. We all get setups here, there are sets for recording, actual office things for the staff you hired. So they don’t have to work from home if they don’t want to. Come on a tour!” Mina cheered.
The cameras shut off then.
“Okay, y’all seriously bought an office building?” He asked, crossing his arms.
“Yeah! With the money from the new channel. Don’t worry, we called your financial planner and she said it was all fine. It was a good idea, I promise.” Denki said, hands raised. “It wasn’t a split second decision. We really thought about it.”
“Yeah, Bakubabe! It’s all good!” Mina said, smiling at him. “Anyway, before we go in, you should meet the new social media guy! This is Izuku Midoriya.” She said, motioning towards the green haired man.
“H-hi.” The man waved. Katsuki raised an eyebrow.
“Katsuki Bakugou, it’s nice to meet you.”
