"Can Death Hear My Cries?"

Summary:

Kaeya finally breaking down in the arms of a stranger

-
Just a small Kaeya angst drabble I wrote

Work Text:

Falling to the ground after the fight was done, Kaeya felt arms circle around him and pull him close against a broad chest, tears already threatening to spill down his cheeks like they had the whole day but this time, Kaeya didn't hold them back.

As he sobbed into the older's chest, Kaeya's anguish came out for everybody that was willing to hear, the arms around him growing stronger as they cradled his wrecked body that shook with every violent sob that he couldn't hold back no matter how hard his hands clamped down over his lips or how hard his throat tried to close itself, it was useless.

Crying into the warm chest and holding onto the other like they were his last lifeline, Kaeya cried for the little boy he once was, cried for the little boy that got abandoned with a duty so heavy it killed him, cried for the abused little boy still stuck in the storm outside of the Dawn Winery, left all alone by a man that should have never left.

And as he cried, Kaeya wept, and as he wept, Kaeya got angry, and as he hit, he felt his mind break and could only scream for death to take him.

To feel his brother's sword go through his chest, burning with the flames of pain and hate making it eat at Kaeya's heart and leaving him hollow as the blade goes out.

To feel the wind sweep past his head as he falls to the ground, counting the seconds down before his body hits the ground and all he feels is pain before nothing.

To feel the knife bury itself deep into his neck as he sobs alone in his room, empty bottles of wine and beer around him as his blood seeps into the floorboards below...

and Kaeya wept in guilt, pain and sorrow for everything he's gone thru, of everything he's got, of everything he doesn't know and how he still wants death's arm to hold him close instead of the arms of the living.

Kaeya wept for his father and for his brother, and Kaeya wept for death.
