Summary
She couldn’t stay in Rockford with the memory of Greta implanted into every nook and cranny. Chicago is crawling with league executives and scrutiny and while New York is where Carson wants to be more than anything, she knows what she needs is this time to herself more than anything else. So, Minneapolis seems different, but the same simultaneously, in the middle of everywhere Carson has laid roots but still untouched. She remembers reading about it when she was younger in the Boise papers like the wild west, during Prohibition.
Maybe it’ll be fun to be a cowboy for a bit, Carson thinks.
