Summary
Lady Luxanna Crownguard and her maid, Powder Lane, have been close for as long as anyone can remember.
From the tender age of fourteen, Powder looked after Luxanna and made sure that she was taken care of. It was her job, of course. But along the way, she grew attached to Luxanna and she did the same with Powder. The two were very dear friends who wanted nothing more than to be with each other. But such a thing was impossible. Luxanna was a lady and one of wealth, one that had to be married to someone of the same status as her. And Powder wouldn't do, even if she longed for Luxanna as much more than a friend.
Lord Ezreal Fitzhubert was wealthy and he was kind, albeit more dimwitted than Luxanna could've anticipated. But Luxanna doesn't love him. She doesn't think she ever could.
