It took him a second to process what she was trying to say. He leans back and can’t help the sigh of relief that comes out. “Oh.”
Steve didn’t realize how much he didn’t want to be in love with Robin until this moment. It makes sense now. She’s still one of the most important people in his life, but its not romantic. It never was.
