Summary
Sam Wilson is an incubus. He's also asexual. It's... a little complicated, but not as complicated as you'd think. It gets a little more complicated when he meets Sarah's new neighbor, Bucky Barnes.
EXCERPT:
“His name’s Sam!” yelled Sarah from her porch.
Sam realized Bucky or Chucky had taken his hand and they’d just been… holding hands like that. Sam stood up, pulling the man up with him.
“Bucky!” blurted the man, “I’m Bucky. Would you – do you have any time to um. Do you like restaurants?”
Bucky winced at the sentence.
Sam smiled.
“Do I like restaurants?” asked Sam, amused.
“Or. Um. Food at home? Though, that’s kind of creepy for a first date,” mumbled Bucky before he got lost in Sam’s eyes again.
Sam almost said yes. Without a thought. Which was horrifying. Some adrenaline junkie side of Sam wanted to say yes even more because of the stakes of it. But Bucky was Sarah’s neighbor. And things could get messy if Bucky reacted poorly to the fact that Sam was ace. He wasn’t going to do that to Sarah.
“Ask me again another time,” Sam said despite himself, as he let go of Bucky’s hand and continued to his truck.
