Work Text:
Beep. Beep. The continous and annoying beeps from the machine he's been connected to makes his peaceful slumber come to an aprubt end and Jun wearily yawns.
"Did I wake you up? I'm sorry Sazanami-kun.", the nurse says and then bows apologizing, while checking his medical conditions and through drowsy golden eyes, he detects a genuine smile on her lips. "You're a bit better today. That's good. I'm relieved. You can still sleep a bit until breakfast is ready.", she tells him, still that smile full of kindness on her face, and Jun replies with a mumbled 'thank you', as she leaves the room and quietly closes the door behind her.
Three weeks, almost four weeks, has already passed since Jun has been hospitalised this time. The blue haired male is used to be here for one, maybe two or almost three weeks, though not for more than three weeks. There is also something else he's been used to. His remain here is always accompanied by the curse of solitude because no one, especially not his family, visits him. Jun also doesn't have any friends because he already has been sick since his childhood and the more time has passed, the less he couldn't attend school. And besides nobody ever liked him. Well, it's not like someone ever gave him the chance to start a liking on him.
He's been shunned since his early childhood days and has always been a stray in the alleys, trying to survive somehow, until someday he decides to just give up.
Always fighting for his right to exist in this world became exhausting and just useless until a certain realization hits him about the given law of the world that there's no justice and fairness existing.
His sickness made his heart sick, often he has trouble just to breath properly or he just doesn't feel anything because everything goes numb. Sometimes it has been just his fingers, that's less problematic, yet as soon as his legs go numb it often causes him to collapse and his body doesn't care about the fact where he has been, whether Jun has been just outside or on the stairs.
"We don't have enough money for your surgery.", is the blatant lie his parents always have been told him and the deceit little Jun has always believed in. He always tried believing in his parents words, clutching at the last remaining straw that tries promising him at least a bit of kindness up until he understands rather than not having enough money, they never wanted to pay.
The blue haired child cried back all night long, blaming himself for always being such a burden and he just loathes himself for his entire being. And until now this has never changed.
His soul just can't find quietude anymore and he feels so often churned up when confronted with his own incompetence and sickness.
Shortly after sleeping for some more hours and having breakfast, the blue haired male takes a look outside. It's a beautiful autumn day outside. Warm colored autumn leaves are dancing with the wind, some already naked trees were still painted with the color of a soothing red, days are getting shorter and shorter with each passing one and Jun finds comfort and attachment in this.
Still watching the scenery outside, some birds now seem to held a fiery conversation on some branches, Jun starts humming one of his favorite songs, whilst listening to it on his phone, and he sometimes accompanies the male singer with his own singing voice. Music has the power and influence to ease his weight and anything feels leastwise just a bit lighter in his heart.
And nontheless Jun still isn't able to already let go of his own life, not before he has done at least one thing of a list he once has mentally created. Just some plain and simple wishes, like having a friend, spending time with said friend, fabricating a nickname for the aforementioned person. And some more out of reach, silent and hardly perceptible knocking on the door to his deepest desires buried inside his heart, like falling in love or kissing someone.
"You have a beautiful and soothing singing voice.", Jun suddenly hears someone say and it hits him like a sucker punch, then said male startles and immediately shuts down his mouth as he notices someone slowly approaching to the other empty bed of the room. Prior to Jun was able to reply anything, the unknown blonde already keeps on talking.
"I'm Hiyori. Tomoe Hiyori. I need to stay for a few days here. Such a good weather outside, right~?", said male says in a cheerful pitch and with an even more cheerful smile.
In fact he's too embarassed as hell, so he prefers to not reply, yet being polite always runs in his blood, so he decides to answer.
"Jun. Sazanami Jun.", the golden eyed male mumbles and then clears his throat, in the hope of the blonde just forgetting he just hummed a song a few moments afore.
Not quite sure how to deal with the situation and the newcomer now, the blue haired male remains silent for most of the time, just responding here and there to some of Hiyori's questions mostly about the hospital. At first there was this absurd idea spooking on his mind, or more like a wishful thinking, about getting along with Hiyori, maybe even becoming friends, but the moment Jun has been jolted back to reality he realizes he's probably too awkward and overwhelmed, too flustered and unskilful to deal with some who really seems to be a good and friendly person.
So instead of trying, the boy with eyes like the golden autumn just gives up and checks his online shelf if there are any Manga he could buy or just re-read some of his already owned ones.
"Jun-kun! It's rude to ignore me, when I try to talk to you all the time!", the blonde then practically shouts and Jun has been startled for the second time today, so he meets Hiyori's gaze, obviously pouting and cheeks puffed almost like a blowfish, with a grumpy expression himself.
"I'm reading... or at least trying to read, y'know?", Jun complains, whereupon Hiyori also complains about how Jun-kun dares to read when he could as well talk to him and he adds anything about a foul weather. He already said it twice, does this guy really make a pun out of his name?!
Jun swallows hard and all of a sudden he feels nervousness and uncertainity flowing through his veins and the blue haired male finds himself mentally standing in front of the rusty and heavy door inside of him, fingertips laying on said door and it just needs a slight and brief push to being swung open.
His fingers are trembling, body shaking with a fear upon an unknown outcome and in spite of his shivering self Jun's encouraging himself to give the door at least just the lightest smallest push, very well aware of the fact the grim reaper is going to pick him up sooner or later.
"Uhm... 'scuse me, if you want, I can give you access to my online shelf too, so... you can read and we can... talk about some... manga?", Jun then suggests, trying to not let Hiyori notice his timidity, and to his surprise the blonde responds with such a sunlit warmth Jun never felt before.
"HmmHmm, I have never read Manga so often before, but since it's for Jun-kun, it's a good weather for me."
"Since it's for Jun-kun", Jun mentally repeats the other male's reply, while staring out of dilated golden eyes into profound lavender colored ones. Jun's own lips are formed into a flummoxed 'o' and his expression likely more awkward than before.
"As long as you want to become friends with me.", Hiyori then nuzzles, his high-pitched and nearly dramatic sounding voice all of a sudden turned into a more quieter one. And since Jun's able to read the air, he just knows what the blonde wants to tell him.
"As long as you want to become my friend.", the blue haired male murmurs, now a slight smile is plastered on his lips too.
Mentally he already crosses out point one of his list – making a friend.
And to his surprise both teenagers still get along after some days have passed and Jun notices with melancholy how fast and erratic time flies by when you're spending said treasured time with someone he could finally call a friend.
Hiyori Tomoe is someone very special in his attitude and behaviour and it's hard to find any coherent words to describe him properly.
The smaller male already has embosomed him because the aforementioned embodiment of the sun is the first one who's been friendly enough to share a bit of his warming sunshine with him, just a stray lingering in the darkest and filthiest alleys.
The only sunrays which could have ever reached him.
Relaxing outside on one of the benches in the green area of the hospital, both enjoy a warm drink of the cafeteria and Hiyori's already lodging a complaint with a whiny voice for a while now that Nagisa-kun hasn't visited him yet, although he promised.
"Well, you said your Nagisa-kun is a very busy person and he already apologized as you told me, so don't bother him, 'kay? In a few days you'll be discharged and you gonna see him again.", Jun nags, some bitterness resonating in his voice since no one has visited him for a long time now and the blonde's already complaining about a few days.
Resentment aside now, there's no time for it, the younger male should savor the time with his sadly temporary friend. With the way he literally crushed into his life, so will he soon disappear as if he and their time spent together has never existed in the first place.
Hiyori's then pouting in reaction, until his face lightens up again.
"MhhMhh. Okay. It's decided. My adorable Jun-kun will spend lots of time with me then, in particual when you will be discharged from the hospital.", the blonde just then defines.
When he will be discharged from the hospital. When? Soon? Or never again?
Jun almost loses himself in being slayed by his own subdued mind until he mentally shakes his head to get a grip on himself.
Noticing again how much Hiyori throws around himself with portrayals like "cute, adorable" for Jun, said male sighs almost silently.
"'m not your pet. Besides...", the aforementioned male grouses, tho the blonde's quickly interrupting him. "But you're my adorable and cute Jun-kun.", Hiyori prolongs with an arrogant grin planted on his lips.
"Don't call me like that.", Jun hisses in reply, still a characteristic grumpy expression drawn on his face and Hiyori always manages, much to Jun's annoyance, to find any retort.
"Well, you refuse to call me senpai despite I'm older than you and you're always making such a fuss."
Truth to be told, the blonde male's sometimes really acts ike a spoiled princess. So much that Jun frequently forgets the fact his own life is going to end soon. Knowing the chatty guy beside him won't quit whining and complaining, Jun quickly comes to another solution to content Hiyori and also himself. Mentally already crossing another wish on his list.
"What about Ohii-san?", the azure haired male asks, his gaze directed to the taller male beside him and against the odds, this time it's Hiyori who eyeing him out of widen lavender eyes.
"Just mixed up your name.", Jun explains himself in his usually nuzzling voice and he can't hold a genuine smile back, whereupon the blonde's just radiates a beautiful smile like the sun.
If this is what happiness feels like, Jun just wants to witness more of it.
He feels himself drawn more and more to the sun and it's pleasant warmth.
Just a few days later it's perhaps the last evening his newly aquired friend and him will likely spend together.
The blonde male acts like all the other days, being too overly chatty and bold, just plain very Ohii-sanish, and Jun can't even reproach the other male for his behaviour since he's very well aware of the fact Hiyori will just go back to the world he comes from. Nothing has been changed in his life.
While Jun will undoubtly be left behind with a feeling in his ripcage he can't properly describe.
It's hard to put into words what to feel when you're faced for the first time in your life with the feeling of having a friend, spending time with said friend and just being able to forget the devouring pain and the tormenting feeling.
A sigh resounds throughout the very soon empty room, the older male is already asleep, Jun still awake and it just hurts pondering about the truth his one and only friend will be gone tomorrow and never come back, as if Jun has never existed in his life.
The deep, black and endless hole always sitting in ambush beneath him and his trembling feet soon will got him again.
He doesn't want to be swallowed again by the dark., Jun mentally pleads and he promptly senses the feeling of bitterness and solitude again on the tip of his tongue.
Always been a stray, always being a stray to left to die alone.
Jun really isn't be able to find a pleasant slumber this night, sheer infinite thoughts are knocking all night he tries to find any rest against his mind – above all when the azure haired male has a whack at closing his eyes and tries to seek for some hours of sleep, comfort is not the feeling he receives in the end.
So exhausted. Jun is so tired. Tired of being alive, of breathing, off letting go-
Eventually he just gives up and the teenager instead decides of listening to the falling autumn rain outside knocking the same way on the windows as his mind is engulfed by uncomfortable, unfamilar sentiments.
Saying farewell to the cheerful blonde truly hasn't been easy, even though he tries not to let it show too much to the other male. Hiyori already has been giving him too much, something new he should not feel bad for matters which is common to ordinary people.
All of a sudden a vivid room full of sunlight and so many different colors has just dropped dead into the bland and sombre void.
Indulging himself in already nostalgic feelings of the past days, the golden eyed teenager blames himself at least for not asking for his phone number and letting him go just like that.
Well, actually it's better, Jun thinks, that he doesn't have asked. He doesn't want to be a burden for the only one who has been friendly to him and who was willing to share his warmth and benevolence with him.
Yet to his surprise, Hiyori visits him on the next day and the younger teenager looks at him in astonishment, trying to realize the Hiyori in front of him isn't only his imagination, but reality.
Though as soon as the blonde complains in his overly dramatic pitch again about Jun-kun's rude behaviour because he hasn't said anything yet, the addressed teenager chuckles. "It's good that you're back. I already missed you.", Jun thinks, smiling.
"Loud as ever, right Ohii-san?", the azure haired male asks with a grin instead of his grumpy expression, now the blonde is the one looking at him with pouty cheeks.
And one day Hiyori decides to bring two friends of him he always talked about, especially about one of them, to the hospital two days before Jun finally gets discharged again from the hospital.
He introduces them as Nagisa-kun, a teenager the same age as the blonde with long grey hair and amber colored eyes, and Ibara, apparently the same age as Jun himself as Hiyori has stated, magenta colored hair, blue eyes hidden behind glasses and with a cunning smile on his lips.
"So, you're Jun-shi. Nice to meet you. Your highness already has talked a lot about you and decided you'll be the last member joining Eden. So we wanted to meet you too, ahahaha.", the magenta haired male then chirrups in a odd coaxing manner, Jun frowns in reaction and enquiring golden orbs are directed towards Hiyori.
"His... highness? Eden? Goddamn, what'cha talking about?", said addressed male then rasps, confusion all written over his face.
Goddamn. Does he miss something important or is Ohii-san the one to blame this time because the apparently otherwise too chatty guy suddenly keeps his mouth shut about important stuff?!
"HmmHmm, yesyes. Jun-kun will join Eden. And Eve! He has a beautiful and soothing singing voice and a very pretty and cute face. It's already decided, there is no escape anymore, Jun-kun.", Hiyori soliloquizes and Jun feels a bit irritated because of the other's smug and complacement expression.
"GODDAMN. What the hell is Eden Ohii-san?! Won't ya just decide things without asking me first?", the azure haired male throws a tantrum in response.
The moment when Nagisa rises to speak, he hopes to finally get an explanation, however the grey haired male is just mumbling something to himself and his philosophizing about paradise and whatsoever really doesn't help Jun right now.
Alternating both Ibara und Hiyori, though Ibara a bit more, finally clear up his questions and initial issues and now the azure haired male finally knows what Eden is, yet he still doesn't really comprehend it.
Eden is a unit of popular idols, consisting of Nagisa as their leader, Hiyori and Ibara. They're also divided into Shuuetsu Academy's Adam and soon enough Eve with Jun alone, if it was to Hiyori.
Still bewildered and stunned about the blonde's audacity, the golden eyed teenager needs a few moments to collect himself and just stares into the void
There is an odd and peculiar feeling blooming in his chest, it makes his heart throb, Jun really doesn't know what to say, instead he clenches his hands and clings to his blanket and he frowns his lips and all the time he hasn't been able to return their looks.
The moment Jun understands he just wants to agree and approve their offer, he feels miserable and realizes what a pitiful guy he really is.
Grasping at the first straw in form of kindness, hope and a future he could never achieve.
He doesn't even know if he's really made to be an idol, standing on the same stage as them, if he's capable of doing so, even if he would be a healthy teenager.
"Sorry, but I won't join Eden or Eve or whatever. Sorry.", he excuses himself, eventual brave enough to face them and for the glimpse of a moment there has been a disappointed look on Hiyori's face until he pouts with puffy cheeks.
"Jun-kun, you will! There is no escape. I already decided it and Ibara and Nagisa-kun agreed with me. You with your voice and cute face is the perfect last member for Eden and for Eve, our unit.", Hiyori just doesn't want to give up, Jun realizes, wherefore he sighs almost silently.
"I won't. Beside I'm not cute or whatever.", the blue haired teenager complains in response, on which Hiyori's cheeks grow even more puffy. "I won't give up until you say yes, Jun-kun."
They spends his afternoon together then and Jun even gets along with Ibara, despite his venomous tongue sometimes. Nagisa is a bit odd and he seems to be a bit overwhelmed about the world around himself, Hiyori is as always, very Ohii-sanish, and it also seems to be for Ibara and Nagisa a done deal he'll join their unit. All in all Jun really has been enjoying himself during the afternoon and with them. The odd sensation never has been fading away all day long.
Later Hiyori still remains a while in his room and Jun finds out the blonde is really, really beautiful and handsome, also very sweet and cute when bathing in the gentle light of the afterglow.
Actually he's always a beautiful, handsome and cute person.
It's what he has already thought the moment he met him.
And there's nothing wrong with having such thoughts about someone of the same gender.
"You're feeling better and you're free to go where you want tomorrow?"
Jun nods.
"Spend time with me. And just with me, Jun-kun."
There's a serious and earnest expression on the blonde's face and being sucked in his profound gaze of his lavender eyes, Jun nearly intuitive agrees and his reward is a smile from the latter that could compete with sunflowers, the sun itself.
The doctor really has told him today he's free to go where he wants the next days because his condition is a bit better and he's a teenager, so he should just spend a bit time like a teenager.
Jun nods again in agreement, already looking forward to it.
You're going to die soon. Use your time as much as you want if you're able to do so. Life your live., was the hidden meaning behind it.
Spending time with the blonde male outside of the hospital feels like a bliss, especially because spending time with a friend has also always been on his list.
Going shopping with him, going to eat in so many different places (Hiyori really doesn't make a secret out of the fact he's a spoiled and rich brat, such an annoying aristocrat), spending time in cafés and cinemas, and laughing together countless of times.
Jun finds out the latter's favorite food is quiche and he does nothing better than eating lots of it, while the blonde spoils him with lots of different strawberry desserts, ice cream and drinks.
Both get to know each other better and better, Hiyori still convinced of Jun joining Eden and founding Eve together with him, no matter how often the azure haired male declines his offer.
Hiyori really has become a special person in his life. His most important one within just a few weeks.
His voice. His smell. His entire being. His smile. His beautiful smile full of sunshine. His Ohii-san. Hiyori.
His heart beats so loud, so much in his ripcage, just while thinking about the other male, pondering deep in thoughts.
It feels like time has stand still each time he spends it with the latter.
Though it doesn't stay this way, unfortunately. It has always been unavoidable and the more time he has spend living as a healthy teenager outside, living his life to the fullest, the more his health suffers and decreases.
So much that he has been hospitalized again when someone, another doctor, then tells him the inescapable, sad, heartbreaking and churning truth.
Your body has become too weak. I apologize.
Visitors are still allowed, though they can't stay very long. Sometimes Ibara and Nagisa came too, yet most of the time it has been Hiyori alone.
But it's enough. Hiyori is enough. Spending time with him is enough.
"Let's go to the rooftop, Jun-kun."
A somber smile is plastered on Hiyori's lips, he looks tired and worried, probably he finally understands it. Anything.
The reason why he always declied their offers, the reason for anything.
Jun nods, Hiyori smiles. Finally.
A smile looks better on his beautiful face.
As soon as they have reached the rooftop, the blonde male still keeps a firm hold of him to Jun's surprise, now just holding his hand instead of his wrist.
Hiyori then drags him to one of the benches, their body's now again as close as before and Jun feels his body stiffen because of the icy cold winter air, whereas his hands still feel numb.
Even though he's used to it, Jun does want nothing more than to feel the warmth of the older male still holding his hand.
"Jun-kun, as soon as you're finally out of here, you really have to join Eden! We're all waiting for you, especially me, your Ohii-san."
Jun only hums silently in response, not really sure what he could even reply, eventually he has already said so often he can't join Eden and Hiyori should finally accept it instead of being so reckless and persistent. (Well, that's Ohii-san. The Ohii-san Jun loves so much.)
The azure haired male really can't afford to be happy. The door to his heart should have always been closed and still Hiyori has been able to open the door the moment they have met.
In the end it has always been an inescapable reality since Jun has felt magnetized from the very beginning to the other teenager. His sunlit cordiality has always been alluring to the younger male and without realizing it, Hiyori has casted a spell over him on that specific autumn day the azure haired male could never escape from again.
That one autumn day. That one day when the autumn leaves were dancing freely like his own heart.
"Don't ignore me. That's rude of you.", Hiyori then complains and Jun's gaze is then directed towards the sheer endless sky with snowflakes falling onto the ground into the shape of a mellow carpet.
"I'm not ignoring you. Just already said so often I can't join Eden, Ohii-san.", Jun sighs and he tries desperately shutting the door the same way he hopes his hands will finally unfreeze and he'll finally feel the other male's warmth.
"Hm, so instead of not wanting to join Eden it's more like you can't join Eden.", Hiyori then notices, sharp as ever, and Jun swallows hard in response, not even able to return anything right now.
Crack.
It was the last drop that causes the glass finally to overflow.
Like a shell that was slowly breaking apart, like a collapsing wall which has always been protecting him.
Jun then notices wetness in his own eyes, slowly tears streaming down his cheeks and he bits down on his lips, his sharp fangs cutting in the soft flesh of his lips
"Ohiisan, I....", Jun murmurs with a shaking voice and feeling his trembling body through his spine.
"I will never be discharged from the hospital again.", Jun whispers, trying to express himself in a firm and steady way, yet his own voice betraying himself the same second.
Instead of asking further, Hiyori remains silent, yet there are so many questions buried in these beautiful lavender eyes staring right through him.
"I'm sick, Ohii-san. From the moment I was born.", Jun explains, still not having the heart to form the wording 'I will die soon.' on his lips, "There's an expensive surgery but... my parents won't pay for it.", he further exclaims, swallowing hard and now remaining also silent until Hiyori decides to break off the uncomfortable and icy silence.
"I can pay, we can pay, Ibara too, Nagisa-kun, Eden, CosPro... There is no---", however ere the blonde sunshine beside him could talk further, still having a firm hold over his hand, Jun already breaks into.
"I don't want anyone of you to pay for me. I'm not the type of taking advantage of someone. Besides..... I already gave up. Long ago.", Jun explains himself, sadness slowly seizing him, swallowing him agonizingly and the blonde male just intertwines their fingers and Jun is just grateful towards every existing greater power to still being able to feel Hiyori's touch in his fingertips.
"Jun-kun, you idiot! Don't give yourself up so easily and put more value in the life of yours!", the blonde replies and if Jun tries to find any description for Hiyori's expression, it would probably be reproachful and also a glimpse of worry, likely a lot of worry is lying in these astonishing lavender eyes. "Besides. I own you. And if you can't love yourself enough, then it's his owner's duty. It's a promise."
There is now a confused look on Jun's face exchanged for his previous weeping one and the moment, the azure haired male mentally repeats the blonde idol's words again, he feels heat rushing through his cheeks, likely they look the same as he feels right now, flushed and still a crying and reddish mess. "Please, mean it like you said it.", Jun prays over and over, his golden eyes shimmering in anticipation as he returns Hiyori's profound gaze.
It's a promise., Hiyori says. A promise, an oath. An oath Jun can cling to, a vow he can hold on to, a promise he can find support, comfort he has been seeking for so long and he feels relief in his once burdened, lonely heart. Hiyori Tomoe, the only one who ever extended his arms forward to him, the only one who ever cushioned him the moment their fingertips touched and his entire being has been fulfilled with an enchanting warmth, until all frigidity has been replaced with Hiyori's sunshine.
"Please, Please, Please, Ple-". Jun's pleading has been just cut off by the idol's soft lips kissing him caring and gentle. Wide golden orbs peering in surprise until they have been shut down by a pair of lavender ones, giving him a tender look. Time stands still for the younger male, the snow still falling down to cover the ground and kissing Hiyori with the same amount of affection feels like heavenly bliss. "I love you, I love you, I love you---", the bluehaired male thinks all the time, slowly bit by bit these previous lonely thoughts are vanishing more and more and all that remains, is a mind full of love, hope, and Jun just has been able to find the inner peace he has always been seeking for. Their first kiss lasts for a while and instead of separating of each other, Jun finds himself in Hiyori's warm embrace and both then clasping each other even more firmly. Another kiss happens, this time Hiyori kissing him even more softer than before, every movement is silently whispering 'I love you.'
The moment Jun lets himself plump down, Hiyori is there to catch him. Always. It's a promise.
"Jun-kun, I promise. Everything will be alright. Trust me. I love you. I won't leave you anymore, so don't you dare leaving me alone too.", the blonde idol asserts, still one of the blonde's hands keeping his cheeks warm, here and there caressing his skin with his fingertips.
A warm feeling spreading in his chest, albeit feeling like the worst just a few moments ago.
"I promise I'll join Eden. And we'll become Eve.", Jun then also makes a promise himself, giving the older male another soft peck and a genuine smile from the bottom of his heart.
And alas despite Hiyori has to leave later, Jun doesn't feel alone or left behind anymore.
The azure haired male is clutching their exchanged promises and for the first time Jun really hopes, believes he's going to survive, be alive, stay alive.
His lips are still painted with a genuine, sanguine smile the moment he realizes two more, his two last wishes from his list can finally be crossed out.
Falling in love. Kissing the one you love.
In the end his long-lasting struggle has really always been worth it. His surgery has been successful.
All the time he has been alone and on his own, fighting in the alleys, striving for a reason to be alive has always been worth his price.
Someone has found a worth in him a while ago, someone radiating almost infectious sunlight and has always been warming his chilly heart in his mellow embrace.
Someone called Hiyori Tomoe, an idol, member of Eden, his sunshine, Jun's love of his life.
Hiyori is the living proof that Jun is worth living, breathing, existing, loving and being loved.
And now the azure haired male is standing on the same stage as Eden, beside Hiyori, Nagisa, Ibara, with Hiyori.
Promises exchanged in one snowy winter night has changed his life and himself for the better.
Gazing at the fans in the crowd cheering loudly for all four of them, grasping again in how much warmth he has been engulfed by all of them and being fulfilled with the happiness of being alive.
He found a reason. His reason. Said reason is smiling at him, sunshine written on his face, beautiful lavender eyes meeting his own golden orbs.
Hiyori is the one fulfilling his last, final wish on his list. A request full of hope and belief.
"Surviving.", has always been his secret desire, a wish he phrased mentally and never dared to shape with his own lips and voice.
Jun has always been afraid, though now he knows he never has to be afraid anymore.
He survived because he promised to. Once heavily weighting promises, now an anchor in the rough see with all these amounts of crashing waves which sometimes threaten him to be drowned.
"I love you.", Jun softly whispers, responding to Hiyori's glance full of love with the same amount of affection.
And he always will.
It's a promise.
