Damian Desmond considered himself a serious person who wasn't distracted by silly and unimportant things like the conversations his classmates were having, like the ones Blackbell and Forger have. From what little he had heard of all the times they talked before class started, the topics of their conversations were only about TV shows and planning to go shopping together. No significant questions. Until that day.
-Tell me Anya, what is your ideal man? - asked Becky Blackbell, always obsessed with romance.
-I do not know. – Her friend simply replied.
-Come on, Anya you must have some idea how he is the man you want to fall in love with, or at least tell me who do you think is the coolest man in the world?
-Dad, he is the coolest man that exists though and the second is Bondman. - the girl exclaimed with admiration in her eyes.
-You're right, Loid is the most impressive man I know, whoever wants to go out with you must look a little more like him to win your heart. She said it out loud to make sure everyone in the room heard it.

-When I was accepted at school, Papa took me to a castle and we played that I was a princess and he had to rescue me as Loidman, it was incredible- the little girl said excitedly.

Listening to that conversation, Damian thought, “Of course, she can only aspire to marry a commoner like her father, I don't care, and that castle thing surely just took her to a nice place, they must be so poor that any big house seems like a castle to them and she a princess, rather she is a witch”. But that idea remained in his mind throughout the class. In the last class of the day Professor Henderson requested that a student stay after class to help him arrange books in the library and young Desmond offered to help.
When he was with the professor, Damian kept thinking about what he had heard about Mr. Forger, and he remembered when he met him in person the day he saw his father, for a commoner, he seemed like a very educated man, what which was weird considering how strange Anya Forger was. The curiosity was so much that he began to get distracted and misarrange the books.
-Desmond, that is not the way to organize books.
-Oh, sorry Professor.
-You seem distracted, tell me boy, what are you thinking?
Damian didn't know what to say, but he thought that if anyone would know what to say about people's manners it would be Professor Henderson.
-I was thinking about the behavior of Mr. Forger, I met him once and I found him very… kind? I really don't know how to describe him.
-Let me help you, if I had to describe Loid Forger, it would be like an example of elegance. - the professor declared proudly.
-What? But… but he is a commoner and…
-Mr. Desmond, the elegance of a person does not depend on his social class, it depends on his qualities, and as far as I am concerned, Mr. Forger is a true gentleman, like very few there are. His preparation for the Eden Academy interview was the best I have ever seen, and his responses were impeccable.
Damian was stunned, it was possible for a simple psychiatrist to be a gentleman, no, that didn't seem possible.
-But he is a doctor who beats his patients.

-But his daughter is very strange and aggressive.

Now Damian didn't know what to think, so Mr. Forger was cool, elegant and a true gentleman, was that possible? So, Anya wanted to marry a man like that, someone who would save her from any danger. That sounded hard to find.
-If you still have doubts about Loid Forger these will be cleared up in a couple of days. We will be doing school visits to various sites next week and one of them will be Berlint General Hospital, where he works and will guide us through our visit. On the way to his bedroom Damian thought, "then Mr. Forger is a gentleman, I will judge that, let's see if he can impress me".
