- okay!!! So! I can agree to the idea of it being a fling thing that happens and mama lahiffe, cuz i like the idea of that being her original name and her not taking on a husband's last name, and-
- Bio Mom Selina
- Bruce n Selina are on n off a heck of a lot, but imagine she gets pregnant like a couple years in of them knowing each other, and she decides to 'take a break' from doing major heists for a while cuz like, shes hesitant about having this kid, but like, she kinda wants this kid! she doesnt worry she will suck at being a parent, just that it'll be awkward to explain to bruce that she wont want to hasten their relationship cuz o it
- so like, in the early days of her pregnancy she does a bunch of major thefts, though mostly from some big-bads because bruce has been influencing her and she doesnt wanna end up getting arrested for them and end up abandoning the kid to the system.
- she sells her loot back to their legal and original owners for the bounty/reward money they have, and racks up a good amount that she will be using to support herself and her kid in the early years of her new found parenthood
- She also uses some of it to do some world traveling until she gives birth, and she does some more heists for as long as she can, continuing to reap the rewards until she's satisfies and knows she cant do any more or else risk losing the baby
- anyways! she settles in Paris!
- She already had baby, but it was Paris she decided on during her travels, so after she recovers from the birth, she moves there immediately
- With lil baby Nino!!!
- Now, she decides to go with an Alias while she's in Paris. Lahiffe will the the psudo last name she uses, but she doesnt illegally try to use it as though its her legal name. she still registers herself and Nino in legal documents as Kyle's, well, Wayne-Kyle for Nino, but she does a v good job of keeping it under wraps and all public names being shown as Lahiffe
- She doesnt want Bruce digging into what she's doing in Paris, either, so she makes sure to keep in touch with him a little bit, even going so far as to do the occasional theft of things that were illegally brought over borders and just, shipping them back to bruce with little notes she signs with lil cat prints and hearts, cuz those distract him from thinking she's hiding anything
- Selina still needs to get a normal job! so lets say she has a few digrees from college that allow her to become an art appraiser, which works wonders for her thieving, not to mention she does it free-lance so she even gets 'under the table' offers to look at stuff that she later totally steals
- anyways! shes got everything down pat!
- Nino knows his mom does some underhanded stuff for good reasons. like an undercover cop, she'll tell him, but she's rogue and doesnt work for the police, just teams up sometimes with scary bat boys.
- he knows who his dad is, too, secret identity and all, once he's a little older and can comprehend why and how to keep a secret
- he knows his mama's reasons for not telling Bruce, either, and he really looks forward to meeting his dad, but he wont push his mama to it
- so, lets get some childhood friends in on this, too, lets say she earns a name for herself in more than just really good appraisals, like, she can figure out trends for whats going to be popular, cuz thats something you need to notice, too, when figuring out what to steal and sell
- she partners with the Gabriel Brand
- cuz Nino is now a low key rich boi, he just v humble about it
- and Emilie befriends Selina, and convinces Gabriel to let Nino hang out with Adrien and Chloe.
- Nino still goes to public school like Chloe
- So fren Mari
- And adriNino friendship really helps Adrien with being less socially oblivious
- Helps with the whole clingy Chloe thing, too, cuz Nino learned from his Mama that you dont touch people when they don't wanna be touched and passed that on very persistently
- Gabriel is peeved that Nino is infuencing Adrien towards not being obedient towards someone he would rather have a good relationship with (cuz being friends with the mayor and the mayor's daughter being infuencable by his son are both good things to have under your belt)
- But Selina slides in all suave and convinces Gabriel that Adrien should learn to be assertive with what he wants if he's ever going to be taking over the brand.
- Its good for business if Adrien knows both how to be the subordinate and be the one in charge
- She’s the one who teaches him puns
- She also makes sure to teach him kindness alongside Emilie, because it would be bad if Adrien turns out like his father
- Boi needs to still learn to treat everyone equally, but also how to know when you're not being treated respectfully yourself
- Time goes forward
- The Agreste parents have a lil trip to Tibet
- Selina gets asked to appraise the Miraculous that they return with
- Because they remain outside of boxes and are prolly v dirty, they dont activate because they're not being worn
- So Selina takes a look and figures something is off with them
- She cleans them before looking closer, and they have signs of being both incredibly old yet also as pristine as new, besides the fan-like one that clearly has some damage to it
- and it dawns on her she might have some magical items on her hands
- she asks Gabe and Emilie about where they got them, and learns that wherever they came from, theyre not stolen, because the closest place to where they were was an old abandoned temple that the locals knew about. She's a bit conflicted, because these might be magic, or they might just be very high quality or well preserves pieces, but she cant steal them cuz theyre not illegally obtained
- poor girl kinda regrets becoming moral with her thefts
- she will just give Brucie a head's up just in case i guess
- he gets back to her, telling her about none of his research coming up with anything, but not to worry about it. he will make a note about looking into it again if anything magicy starts going on though, so Selina puts it to rest
- but, of course, its not long before Emilie starts falling sick
- we can def blame it on the broken miraculous
- cuz convenience
- but Selina doesnt connect the dots because Emilie is never seen wearing the pin that Selina had looked at
- 'camo mode activated', lol
- and then Emilie goes missin'
- and Gabriel decides to ice out Selina and Nino from the fam
- which is exactly what spurrs Adrien into being determined to go to public school, because his dad can freeze everyone out all he wants, but Adrien wont let himself be isolated when he needs his friend back!
- Also! Mama Selina taught her little boy to be a cat, too
- he was learning how to pickpicket his mama when he was 7, and sneak in undetected to Adrien's room in the middle of the night for play time when he was 10
- Selina is v proud of her little kitten
- Bruce would be too if he knew, lol
- but he DONT
- he ends up as a Chosen cuz he helped Adrien get into the school that first try. he manages to intercept and distract Nathalie before she can stop Adrien, after seeing Adrien was about to be caught. he ends up helping fu right after, because fu falling down helps provide a double distraction for adrien to escape with, and nino goes to help when Nathalie realizes she failed and turns away to leave
- Marinette gets picked as black cat
- Nino has a "Mom, no," moment when selina looks at the black cat holder later on the news
- OH, u know, i forgot to make sure u knew i was using the original black selina, cuz i aint gonna white-wash nino for this
- anyways!!!
- Black Cat Marinette and Ladybug Nino!
- Im thinking the name for Nino's hero persona can be Trilobite, or, what if Heterodyne? Heterodyne is a sound technique of creating a low frequency by combining two higher ones
- I'll prolly go with Trilobite just cuz the Heterodyne thing is more of a Girl Genius reference that goes back to the Trilobite anyways
- Marinette will be called Onca Noire
- Anyways!!
- Selina, after the first attack is over, contacts Bruce right away. theyve been doing their low key long distance relationship for quite some time now, and with Nino being older, she's managed to do a few trips back to the U.S. to see him in person, too, and help out a little if he ever needs it. Nino went with her sometimes too, but she made sure to keep him on the DL
- Bruce asks Selina to do the best she can of searching the Agreste home for those maybe-magic jewels, and she finds she cant get in cuz the security is suddenly way hyped
- so she has to wait to get in the normal way, joining nino to check up on Adrien, feigning her excuse that she wants to see how he's adjusting to school life, especially after that horrible Akuma attack the other day
- she manages to get into the safe and find the peacock pin, but not the brooch. the pin still shows no signs of use, let alone magic, though, she she leaves it be
- she does, however, ask gabe about the pins again, faking it as interest if he ever found someone 'more qualified' to appraise them
- Gabriel says the fan-shaped pin wasnt worth as much as it would have been if it wasnt damaged, but the brooch had been lost along with Emilie, saying she had wearing it as a 'good luck charm' whenever she went out because it was her husband's 'favorite'. obviously, its cuz he keeps the think in his secret lair, pfft, but it was a p good and accurate excuse cuz he never wears it publicly, especially now that Emilie is gone anyways
- so Selina informs Bruce that if that jewelry is the cause of this, it's most likely because of whoever caused the disappearance of Emilie Agreste
- And Bruce says he'll try to contact the JLE to see if they'll be helping out in Paris with the new situation, and asks Selina to keep in touch and let him know if they might need a little Bat intervention over there, too
- And she kinda has a moment where she looks over at Nino and goes "Yeah, yeah i'll let you know. But if they do end up needing you, know that there's a lot more here in Paris for you than just a mission."
- he he like, he can hear that theres something more in that statement, but he lets it go, cuz its selina, and if he knows anything about this cat, its that he needs to let her come to him.
- Also i'm doing some maths!
- Bruce was 22 when he became batman, and then 28 when he adopted Dick, when Dick was 8. So lts say Selina is like, one of the earliest peeps he goes up against as Batman, and their weird lovers/enemies thing goes on right from the start, so from this timeline, Selina gets pregnant when theyre 24, and say, Nino is born when theyre 25.
- so Nino is 3 when Dick is adopted
- and lets go with Dick being 15 when he becomes Robin, so nino is 10 at that time
- then Nightwing is taken up when Dick is 18, and Nino is 13, so like, now-ish
- and Jason got adopted around 11/12, and hes like, 7 years younger than Dick, so right around now would also be when Jason is adopted
- also poor Damien, not gonna lie he's prolly gonna have it hard once Talia realizes she doesnt have the only blood heir to the Bat under her belt
- since i dont feel like letting the reign of Hawkmoth end too quickly, imma say that Gabriel is a lot more smart and careful with his Akumas, he spreads them out more and only goes for the most overwhelming of emotions paired with the more useful intents of the person upset
- The JLE decides no, they wont be interfering because without Hawkmoth being more of a constant with more appearances, they cant help without having to station someone they cant spare to be there 24/7 for the low chance an akuma will show, or the even lesser chance HM himself will pop up
- the class isnt targeted as much though
- cuz theres a whole city out there with more angst filled teenagers and even more angst filled adults
- no babies akumatized
- theyre lame
- babies are lame
- and theyre too tiny to be full of enough emotion-chemicals to be useful
- so lets say the one year mark gets hit
- Heroes' Day happens
- the whole city gets akumatized and its super bad
- also im amending the thing about the JLE a little bit
- since the JLE is legit stationed in Paris
- Imma say the JLE says they will help, but very carefully. several of their members are kinda emotionally prone, or at least would be very bad if they went under magical influence
- Power Girl (Kara Zor-El), Wonder Woman, and Flash are all member of the Europe Branch
- so like! yikes!
- At the very least Wonder Woman knows whats up, and prolly confronts the Miraculous heroes to tell them that they'll help when they can
- anyways! Heroes' Day happens!! and ALL OF PARIS is affected
- bad news, this includes the JLE members who are actively there
- They manage to pull through when Trilobite (Nino, Ladybug), Onca Noire (Marinette, Black Cat), Renard Fantôme (Adrien, Fox), Verra Verte (Alya, Turtle), and Queen Bee (Chloe, Bee, wow, I'm feeding the redemption stuff) all concentrate on freeing Flash from Akumatization, and then get the freed Flash on the task of smashing all the Akumatized objects he can reach as fast as possible
- i had fun thinking of those names

- So after that, The JLE finally calls it: they need some help from the worlds greatest detective to try and track down hawkmoth
- Bruce calls up Selina to let her know he's going to be visiting soon, since he cant just drop everything to go to paris, he needs to set up a proper cover for his civilian self
- And so, random side note, but Chris is kinda, like, not existing ::p
- or he still exists! just, yknow, seprate from this lovely unit of Kyle's
- bye chris, nino has much cooler brothers than u now
- no chris, but he will certainly have a handful of a bro when Damian shows up
- who likes christmas!!!
- cuz we shoud totally have bruce come to Paris for christmas

- so Bruce totes has a european branch of W.E. over in paris, too, conveniently in the same city as the JLE HQ, totally not a zeta tube locale
- and maybe theres been a really weird flux in stuff going on in the branch ever since hawkmoth started up, and since they havent figured it out yet, Bruce has a very legitimate reason to go to Paris
- and, yknow, december and pre-christmas is a great time to head over cuz thats usually a hella busy time of year and they can really use the CEO's help right now!!
- so bruce goes on over after a couple months of prep, and he gets to meet up with selina a few times out on some v lovely dates together, but not too many or for too long cuz bruce is, unfortunatly, very busy with two jobs caused by having double lives
- rest in pieces, Bruce
- oh, and he brought Jason!!!!!
- Bruce is there on visa legally for work, and it's long term, so Jason is with him and also on visa and he gets signed up for school. jason is baby still tho, like, 13 now?? so he would be in the first year of collège
- first or second, depending if he just turned 13 or will be turning 14 soon
- ye, but! Nino is, say, 15 as of v recently, so he's in his third and final year of collège
- so guess who's getting to meet his adopted brother!!!
- Nino is bouncing off the WALLS excited to meet one of his brothers
- but he promises to himself and Selina he wont spill the beans to Jason that theyre bros!!
- theyre 'friend' bros tho
- anyways!!
- Christmas!!!
- Selina invites Bruce and Jason over for Christmas
- before she lets them into the house, though, she says she needs to talk to Bruce about something she kept from him
- bruce is worried, he knows it would have been easy for her to hide something, especially because he didnt try to keep a huge tab on her
- but she spills. she tells him she left Gotham because she was pregnant. She left because she didnt want him to hasten their relationship because of it. she didnt want him claiming a responsibility she didnt want him to have yet. She explained it wasnt a responsibility he had to take on, either, if it wasnt something he was ready for yet, especially considering she kinda dumped it on him after so long.
- and Bruce is just reeling, like, that was over 15 years ago!! he has a kid!! he doesnt even know!! with the woman he's head over heals for!
- and she has to lighten the blow a bit by saying Hey, you do kinda know him a bit. it was accidental, but Jason already met him, and youve met him through Jason. and JAson, whos just been standing there, equally stunned, is like, Wait, one of my new friends is one of my brother??
- and Jason is first one in the door as soon as Selina is like 'go on in'
- and like a moment later theyre the most dorky 'boys being boys' screeches of excitement from inside the house
- Bruce finally goes in after a moment of hesitation so he can prep himself for it
- and theres jsut a heep of boy on the ground cuz Jason absolutly did jsut tackle Nino
- or maybe Nino tackled Jason
- maybe they rammed into each other really hard and they both fell over
- who knows
- anyways, its hella awkward once nino and bruce finally introduce themselves to each other as son and father
- but it doesnt last long, cuz Bruce knows this kid, and Selina is here, and thats Selina's kid, and he already just freaking loves this kid, and it helps that Jason already likes his new bro
- its not even an hour in, lunch hasnt even happened yet, when Bruce asks if Nino and Jason if they want him to call Dick over, too
- and you know nino is HYPED and is like heck yeah!! please!!
- so Bruce does that, and he's just like, Dick, you have another brother, he would really like to meet you for Christmas, and Dick is jsut, What
- and after a quick explanation of 'the kid is Selina's', Dick is on the move
- so Nino gets to meet his dad and his older bro for christmas
- they all may or may not have cried, because bruce is, surprise to himself, very happy that day, and so are all three of his sons and the lady he loves
- oh and yall know Alfred showed up, too, he can't miss out on this
- TOATALLY RUINED evening when SANTA CLAWS shows up tho, THANKS HAWKMOTH
- i dont care if it wouldnt happen cuz this isnt adrinette endgame, somehow we get to have an akuma'd santa
- now, lets say this one is hella bad
- v, v bad, like, actual santa claus akumatized bad
- yknow, the actual meta-human thats actually santa
- yeahhh
- lets say his power can legit grant the wishes people make during the winter holidays. not just christmas wishes for gift, but other wishes of other celebrations, too. luckily, he still has a general sense of right and wrong, so he refuses to grant Hawkmoths wish of receiving his very own, very real set of Black Cat and Ladybug Miraculous, or skipping right over that part and straight up bringing Emilie back.
- But it's still v v bad cuz this is still a v malicious Santa
- anyways, it gets to a point that theres a reveal
- Like Onca Noire and Trilobite are trapped or they lose their miraculous, anything, but theres a reveal! its wild! because high hey this is totes a reverse-love square, okk?? Mari has that hero-crush and nino has that civilian crush. so like, worst and best christmas ever
- but they know theres no way they can un-know this, and the fact that nino barely got away from his batman dad they know time for secrets is over
- they manage to defeat Santa Claws with a little unexpected drop in from Batman, Catwoman, and Wonder Woman, two of whom prolly know how to deal with actual Santa
- Onca and Tril are v, v grateful for the help, and say, jsut, hey, we realize the JL prolly knows the identities of it's own heroes, and we didnt get to have that nice a luxury to start with because of the threat we're facing, but it happened, and we realized it would be good to expand who we can rely on some more.
- So Nino reveals himself to his Bat-Dad, Cat-Mom, and Co., and Marinette does too
- and Marinette is the one who takes a moment before she's like "oh gods, Nino, you told me, as Onca, and you as Tril, that your dad was Batman. Nino, you told me who your civilian father is, oh my gods i know who batman is"
- and honestly shes mildly stressed but its a really good ice breaker for the tension
- anyways!
- so so many reveals!!! all thanks to hawkmoth and christmas!!
- and just, yeah!!!! yup!!!! idk hOW they get around to taking down Hawkmoth TBH

- i imagine Bruce manages to use his detective skills to find out all that stuff about the temple and the order and etc before the Feast Episode
- so it's p inconvenient for that info to get out
- but like, also v convenient, cuz they realize, especially after Fu is convinced to rely on the JL instead of running away, whoever was at the reveal of the 'statue' that day would be a suspect
- and it's easy to narrow it back to Gabriel and Nathalie , but they need proof that Gabriel has the Butterfly, not just proof of Nathalie being the Peacock
- anyways, they finally do it, YAY
- anyways, Ninette ship is confirmed to have sailed after Gabe n Nathalie's takedown
- so is the OncaBite ship
